For those having Bluetooth issues try long pressing the Bluetooth button. It says Bluetooth on but then you have to wait for it to say Bluetooth pairing.

Ahh....the old Turtle Beach X12, my first gaming headset I ever used. Came from a decent home theater setup and instantly loved them. Though I did end up buying the A50 Gen 1 headset like 2 weeks later as I wanted wireless.

Update from August 23. Turtle beach have patched the bugs out so when you get them patch them right away. I love these had 600 stealths before and upgraded to this and could not be happier

You have to hold the Bluetooth Button three Seconds to Connect!Just Tapping its only Connect to the Turtle beach App not to your Phone

I picked this up coming from the 700 gen 2’s and it’s def and upgrade. The battery life is the reason I made the switch. Using it for my Xbox and pc, sometimes the switch.

when using them on pc does your windows volume slider work on them? When i try using it the volume on the headset doesnt actually change. Ive also noticed the chat wheel doesnt work on pc. Is this an issue for mine specifically or have you seen the same issues?

So TB has a brand new firmware update that fixed connectivity issue. If u still have this headset, i would look at their website and update it via the computer and see if the BT and connectivity work better because thats what they claim works now

I have been a turtle beach fan since I was 7 years old and my parents got me my first pair I just purchased these for my new pc I built and Holy shit turtle beach has come a long way no joke best mic I have ever owned

I loved the X12 headset, The left ear cup did die on me after about 2 years, but when they were working it was fantastic. I just recently bought the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless and absolutely love them, The sound quality is great and has no connectivity issues. I don't mind the leather ear cups, but I do prefer cloth. I think the Alpha Wireless is my new favorite wireless headset, followed by the Arctis Pro Wireless. The battery life is amazing on the Alpha's though.

I have the old version of this headset, the most annoying thing about it was that it did not come with a dongle, because it was supposed to work with xbox automatically, but of course that meant no PS5 or Switch, and you could use it with PC but you had to get a dongle for that separately.

The Bluetooth works but it’s very shotty. I find I have to oftentimes re-pair it to my phone. The previous gen 700s Bluetooth was better. But the sound quality of this headset makes that a moot point for me.

I can’t remember what wired TB I had first but they weren’t the X-12s. I eventually went from Sony 3D Pulse Elite Ed, to gen 2 A50s, Gen 4s, and now I have the reg stealth 700s G2 for PS5. (Still have my Gen 2 and 4 A50s) I’m planning on getting an Xbox SX soon for FH5 and MSFS. So these I might entertain for a long battery life and all around compatibility 👀🅿️

I love my TB stealth 700 gen 2 but too many software issues , when I first switch on ps5 I have low sound so I have to turn off and back on again, once came to the headset and no power at all, then after updates couldn't connect it to the TB audio hub on my iPhone even though I could connect to my iPhones BT, wish I cold trust these but with all the issues with software I have just bought Steel series nova 7p

How do you think this headset compares to the Corsair Virtuoso XT? I am using the Virtuoso and love it (modded it by adding a headband for better confort) but I've heard reviews that A50s or this Turtle Beach sounds better. I need a good gaming headset for FPS with a good mic for work. Thanks!

Great review- Thanks! I have a different reason to buy this headset. I have a Denon receiver with a Bluetooth output, and at night I use headphones to watch movies, TV etc. so I don't bother anyone. The output audio signal from the receiver for the Bluetooth is not very high, and it's not adjustable. So I wanted to find a Bluetooth headset that had a built-in amplifier for program content that wasn't very loud. I found Bluetooth headsets with built in audio amps are not very common. This should work for what I'm using it for - correct- I mean I don't need to be using the USB dongle also for the Bluetoooth to connect? Hopefully there will be a firmware update that will solve some of the Bluetooth issues- I guess I can always return them also. You make a great point about using the app- and having those setting save to the headphones- whether you're gaming, or using them the way I intend to use them, it would be nice to be able to tweak the settings via the app and they store to the headset.- Thanks again- fantastic review!

I have the 700 max and it needs some fixes. If I was you keep what you have now and wait a month or so then check back too see if its fixed. But if they can fix the issues the max feel so much better then the other 2 you mentioned.

I've had a weird Bluetooth issue watching this video paired to my phone where the audio skips but it sorted itself out after the video loaded abit. Other then that great sound but not the best but I've used it all weekend playing dayz on ps5 during 2 raids and I found it reasonable to pin point gun shot locations and could hear foot steps in the distance which is all i could ask for. Music paired to my phone sounds good. The microphone I've had no complaints from other people in party chat or while talking on the phone they all say I sound nice and clear Not bad for $180aud from eb games.

hey just got this headset for my PC(PS5 version) Does your master volume on your phone app reach all the way up?? all my settings on my PC are up to 100 and still sounds like its 70% up. also on my audio hub app the green bar is not all the way up but I cant adjust it. any help would be appreciated.

Not even close to the best..about mid range.i have these and even in there price range the arctis 9,razer kairas pro,and Corsair HS75 all sound better than these...there good,don't get me wrong but there's better in this price range for sure.the bass is weak compared to others and they feel flimsy and cheap..

@@USMC-es4yy I think it must depend. Of course, it's subjective, but I found the 700 Gen 2 Max to be more immersive, with better positional audio than the Kaira Pro. Now, that might be platform specific, as I've never used the Kaira Pro on my PS5, but I have used the 700 Gen 2 (not Max) on there and on PS5 and Xbox, I haven't found anything I liked better for immersion and positional audio. Connection, functionality, and build "feel" are a different matter, though. I'm still considering trading my 700 Gen 2 Max for the Nova 7 or Astro A30, simply because of less than rock-solid connection and inconsistent performance of the mobile App.

In a different way, yes! They are more immersive than Astros by A LOT. Astros still feel a bit more open and maybe slightly more directional, but I would say grab these if you want a really good closed back headphone

I bought the Steal Series Nova Pro for 349.99 at Best Buy. It sounds good, but I just spent 350 on a headset and that seems crazy to me after the fact. How does this compare to the Nova Pro? I am asking because Best Buy has this one marked down to 140 and I am thinking about taking the Nova back and saving 150 bucks if it’s just as good..

have had and used both and though the nova pros sound was good, they weren’t remarkable and definitely not at msrp of $350 or even at $250 (sale price i got them for). i would recommend the 700’s over the nova pro’s, tho a better comparison might be the 700’s against the nova 7x as those are more comfortable, imo, but the sound on 700’s are louder, more powerful, and the app for adjustments is more convenient than adjusting the novas on a pc/mac. hope this helps, but yeah, save the cash and go 700’s or nova 7x’s, sound wise with either, you will not be missing out. happy gaming!

I bought these because I mainly use Arctis 9x on xsx and wanted an upgrade to my pulse 3d for ps5 but I’ve not been thrilled with them. The volume doesn’t get loud enough and I feel they oils use more bass. I have to unplug the dongle from my ps5 when I finish gaming with them to get my tv sound back. Haven’t tried with the xsx yet but have. They sound pretty good but much prefer my arctis 9x

This headset is absolutely terrible. Feels cheap and plastic, but above all the connection for me was so bad o couldn't stand it. Constand little drop outs and weird noises, mic does not work all the time if you connect it to a phone call. No thank you. LucidSound is way way way better!
