That new surface is particularly nasty in the damp, weird cos in the proper wet and dry it doesnt seem too bad. I won't speak on whether or not I see TT Cup attempt number ??? actually prospering in the long run...

I found your comments on the PBS pads very interesting because people rate them and they are used in many race series yet l burnt mine out on my FN2. I killed a set in the oem calipers in just an evening session at Donington and then another set around oulton but this time with the compbrake 4 pots. My plan now is brake ducting and my next set of pads will be the EBC SR-11 rated at 900c compared to the PBS 800c. If that don't work it'll be the very expensive carbotech XP12 l use on my MR2 turbo rated to 1093c. An awesome pad but your sure pay for it.

Any reasons why u going now with EBC? They arent rly known for good racing brake pads either. Why not going with pfc, ferrodo, carbotech, endless or pagid?

@@VxO4fame Well l know the Ferrodo DS3000 are only good for 650c. It's the new EBC SR-11 compound im gonna try to be more specific. I'll be honest I've not looked at the others you've mentioned. Well aside from Carbotech that im already familiar with.

​@@adamsaunders7161 And for me its the first time hearing about the EBC SR-11 EBC rates quite a few ones for 750 and 900 degrees from red, blue yellow and so on. Quite ironic that their RP1 so called racing ones are just rated for 750. Which does not seem to reflect their performance from what i heard. So just because they might take up to 900 degrees doesnt mean anything if they fade or dont hold up. But yeah i am curious on the feedback from the SR-11 .

My guess is TTCR will follow ProductionGTI series and allow cars to upgrade the calipers to the R32/S3/TTS brake caliper of same production year as its the standard calipers are rubbish. When they're upgraded to that bigger caliper with some ideal cooling then they'll be fine. Every team is going to get sick of changing glazed pads every round and bleeding brakes after every practice/quali and race session😂

its due to the oils of the tarmac from when its laid they slowly go to the surface for the first few years and make it incredibly slippery, so it should improve over the next couple of years

and donington has always been bad for grip in the rain due to the fuel from the aircraft that fly over and the vapour from that laying on the tarmac and making a layer so the tyres dont have proper contact

Why the hate on ns2r? they are not that far away from the AR1 as we tegiwa tested them. In the wet the NS-2R seem to be good. U are not confusing them with the worse NS-2 and NS-20 by any chance? They are budget tires . The R888R werent rly liked either.

@@VxO4fame I have raced on both on the Mini, they are miles apart in feel, grip and laptime (i tried NS2R, AR1, R888R and Direzzas on that car in a single season). NS2R are cheap though and last ages, but AR1 are substantially better in the wet too. I race in the 116 trophy on NS2R currently.
