Almost half of Israelis 'worried over erosion' of Jewish state's standing on international stage

Thousands of angry Israelis took to the streets on Monday for the third consecutive night to demand Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu quit -- and the demonstrators say they are not going away. Mass protests uniting families of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza and an anti-government street movement that failed to unseat Netanyahu last year brought Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to a standstill on Saturday and Sunday. As determined demonstrators vow to 'save Israel' from Netanyahu, FRANCE 24's Tom Burges Watson is joined by Dr. Arik Rudnitzky, Author, Research fellow at The Israel Democracy Institute (IDI), and Senior Project Manager in the Department of Middle Eastern and African History at The Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies at Tel Aviv University.

The armed settlers expelled many Palestinians from their houses in the west bank, killed thousand of them, and many are arrested just because they were trying to get their rights and the world was blind and silent. Gaza was besieged. The journalist Shereen Abu Aqla was killed by Israeli force year before October 7 while covering occupation atrocities in the west bank. Itamar Ben Gfir and his party let settlers carry weapons as they want and attack Palestinians in their houses. They also support building illegal settlements everywhere. No one in the world said they are terrorists. How can people live such a life in their homeland? How can they defend while they are under the control of a cruel occupation that forbids their defense

You may think getting other parties to choose him as PM is an entirely different thing, but that is a semantic argument. Watched a documentary about school girls from Israel meeting schoolgirls from Gaza. The film maker showed both sides and after the meeting both girls were happy and wanted to continue speaking to one another. Both girls went home and were talking to thier parents and it was the Jewish mother who was against them talking and it was the Jewish family that said terrible things about the other family.
