Yeah John - that was me. Really embarassing, but, it scared the daylights out of me. Never expected anything to hit there - couldn't believe where the car came from. Been flagging for more that 20 years and does the camera capture any of the good things I've done - NO! But, F up one time and the whole world's a witness.

You're off the hook; lot's of people don't understand marshalling themselves. Having a 1000kg racecar basically coming right at you at quite a speed is sure to be a scary sight.

For all of the folks posting negative opinions about the marshalling, I invite you to come out and flag at Turn 11 for the Petit (as long as you have the proper qualifications). When standing in the station at "11 comm", you have about one second from the time any class of ALMS car comes into view and the time it hits you. If you are on the surface, it's even less. Come on down. Spend a week in our shoes. THEN maybe..........MAYBE we'll listen to what you have to say. :-P~
