Watching all your videos Bjorn. A real treat i'm so glad to have stumbled across the channel. The world needs many more of you to help the masses realise what they are missing by eating Mcdonalds & Watching TV etc. Thankyou.

a Hi Bjorn, A very respectful camp. I love how there are places where you can camp. In England there are no such places and mostly it is forbidden to camp overnight anywhere, but that doesn't stop me. When I need to camp I go stealthy and just want to experience the nature. Take care Sandy

Thank you, Sandy. I'm sorry about the situation in England. But I'm glad that doesn't stop you!

Springtime in Norway. The birds are chirping and the hour before dawn is a wonderful time. I get up early, make the coffee and get the day going long before my wife gets up. Making a fire and getting coffee going when camping is a tough job. English forests are more hard wood than softwoods, like Norway. England is more like America. Bronze Age mounds were usually near the coast.
@scottlippert29885 жыл бұрын
The area looks very quiet, peaceful and serene. When you mentioned that, a long time ago, people had surrounded the grave mound, grieving, I could actually imagine them. You mentioning it brought into the proper perspective that it is not just a historic place but it served a real purpose for those that lived during that period of time.

Hi again Bjorn, As Wiltshire Man wrote, so wonderful to have those places to camp. A wonderful place to be buried and nice to be respectful. I am sorry you lost a sausage down the side of the fire......but, no doubt, food for nature's animals. Such wonderful videos from you...peaceful to watch just before bedtime. Takke.

Thank you Bjorn for taking us along on your journey to a wonderful place that we may never go to ourselves. I have been to several Indian grave mounds in the US. They are usually 25 meters or more in height and covered in dirt. Nice campsite and great views. Be Well.

After my second divorce I decided I would learn about all the edible plants in the region... the Adirondacks of New York... and so I spent a year or two going everywhere, learning what you can eat, what is medicine, how to process wild foods... I learned how to make ceramics from local ground clay... very much like you explained, I thought if things got much worse for me I would disappear into the woods and become a hermit... that second marriage took 10 years to get over and although I never went feral, I know now how to survive in the forest. You are so lucky to have so much ancient history around you... all the local history here has been buried by centuries of white Europeans farming and mining it all away. I imagine when the Natives still lived here, when the Vikings first visited, it must have been an amazing old growth forest. Love your work, your philosophy!

Hi Bjorn and thanks again for another wonderful video. Your chosen spot here really is the sort of place I would be over the moon to go to. If ok with you, I have some questions about such places. Are they free to camp there? Can anyone use them? Are you allowed to fish in that patch of sea or is the shoreline private property?? Many thanks in advance, Andy Oh yes... Congratulations Bjorn!! 19 month ago, you had almost 1800 subscribers. Now look. 26,000+ Very well earned and deserved too.

Thank you, Taro. It was a peaceful time, absolutely. I have to admit, I was a bit lazy getting my sleeping system ready... So I got a bit cold during the night. It's easy to be fooled by the nice weather. It gets cold in the night. It is April in Norway, after all.

i talked to an older lady from lapland a few years ago, and she told me for about an hour about the trolls that still live in Norway. She was camping in her car in a certain national park in norway and a group of about 3 foot tall trolls woke her up, shaking her car and making harsh sounds. I didn't laugh or sound like she was lying, whilst having this hour long conversation.

If I may suggest something to the norwegian chef? Please use a thin (1-1,5 cm thick) green stick, remove the bark, split it a little ways (about 15-20 cm) and clamp the sausage between the split ends... works always... bon appetit...

I have a brand new 4k camera, actually. The only problem is my wifi connection has been slow and I need to get a faster laptop, so I have to reduce the quality to be able to get the video published.
