Holy smokes! I had a 99 R1 too, so much memories stunting on it! I had polished my frame/swing arm and in my opinion, they're the best looking frame to polish, soooo beefy! Cheers to getting your bike back!

I'm busy with a 96 thunderace all original except the D&D though I have the original as well. IMO the exhaust is the really only visible tell tale sign that they are from a previous era.

I have a 99 also. But with 98 plastic. I love the 98s color better with the yzf going down the side panels.
