I went to high school with Alonzo. He attended Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mt Holly, NJ from 1995 to 89. He was a great football and basketball hero for the Red Devils. I used to work out in the school gym and also watch him lift massive weights. I was proud of him when he attended Ohio State and when the Bears drafted him on 1992. I wish him all the best. God is with him and will help him.

I know him as well. We played basketball together AAU. He's a great dude and people only see what they want to see and don't understand his disorder.

Spellman had one of the most amazing plays on MNF one time. He got cut at the line of scrimmage and went to the ground. The play flowed away from him, he got up, ran about 50 yds, spiked the ball free, recovered the fumble, and returned it about 50 yds. I went to OSU at the same time he did, so sad what happened to him.

I was in FDC with him in 2002. His monstrous size intimidated everyone. However they kept him heavily medicated and most of the time he walked around like a zombie.

I'll never forget that Bears/Raiders game (mid-90's?) where Spellman and Steve Wisniewski and the rest of the Raider offensive line just went at him; holding, facemasking, elbowing, taunting, and chopping Spellman until he was in a flat out rage on the field. There must've been a brawl every other play. Great game!

He was messed up on drugs and passed out on the highway. He got a dui, possession of drugs and reckless driving. He had been fighting it for 2 years. At the courthouse holding cells he used to tell everybody he was going to make them his bitch and fuck em lol The dude was crazy unless you asked him about football

Yeah, I went to Rancocas Valley myself. There was a guy from the class of 1982 named Pete Cahall. He was 6' 7" 270 at his prime in high school. I think he's the principal at Woodrow Wilson High in Washington DC nowadays.

He's living at a motel in the Westampton, NJ area and get's a $300 a day (yes, that number is correct) from a trustee. He is a drug abuser. Still has a solid, thickly muscled body but his face looks like he's 80 years old.
