I'm sad that other people don't like how much talking the teacher gave in this video. I liked Briohny's amount of instruction and found it extremely helpful. I find that there are very few truly intermediate yoga classes and videos out there. Most are either quite basic and slow or so advanced that I feel intimidated (and sometimes, I admit, angry) by the practice. I felt that Briohny hit a happy medium for me by providing good instruction to help me become better prepared for the more advanced poses like handstands and headstands.

I don't think it was necessarily how much she talked but when she talked. It messed up the breath sometimes for me personally.

I’m confused by people saying the instructor talked too much. I’m not sure how it’s so distracting. I personally really enjoyed it, especially for that second round of warrior II - it made it go by quicker! Stop with your petty criticism. Thank you Alo Yoga for a gorgeous, much needed morning flow. :)

I was pleasantly surprised. Alo Yoga tends to give off the vibe of only being accesible for LA yogis with perfect bodies. Briohny effectively led us through a delicious practice that felt amazing. I'm glad she explained every step of the way. It brought ones attention to the body and made it a concious practice, not the usual going through the movements on auto pilot. Also, by explaining each move, it allowed me to fix some moves that I'd been slacking on. Chaturanga anyone? This routine felt really good. I will be coming back for more.

I love how you actually tell viewers how to do the poses, even those as 'basic' as small cobra, as you go, and transition slowly into each pose so people can actually see how you got there. I usually find on yoga videos the instructors fly from one pose to the next and sometimes hold them for hardly any time so I don't even know if I'm doing them properly. So thanks!

This was such a great change of pace for me. I’ve been using the same yoga dvd for almost 10 years, and finally decided it was time to branch out. This definitely is a physically demanding flow, but the instructor assured you that it’s okay to flow at you own pace and ability. Thanks for posting!

She has a perfect calming voice. I’ve been a yoga instructor for many years. If you don’t like it move on 🤷‍♀️ no need to leave you’re unkind opinionated feedback. So many students look around for directions and the best most successful instructors I’ve known speak as they flow because it helps your alignment and keeps the class rolling vs boring

When I consider all the tutorials I follow to learn poses such as Bakasana, and all the scaffolding necessary, I am amazed at the assumptions reflected in this video about what people can do as beginners of the practice with a few instructions that actually rely on months and months of strength/flexibility building, proprioception and general body awareness. Like teaching algebra to people still learning basic calculations. She should just start by saying this is a level 2 and higher session. It can take years to develop the kind of core it takes to hop up as she does, being sure to focus on knees to chest as opposed to flipping up feet, which many newbies will do. Just offer some level 1 videos as well as these advanced ones so people don't hurt themselves.

Thank you ❤ I'm getting back into yoga after 15 years away from doing it. You're a great teacher! My teachers at the studio talk us through it as you do. I appreciate that so much as I'm so conscientious about my poses that I can't always see what's going on around me w/o quick peeks. Your gentle guidance is much appreciated by me. I saved this video to my library for those days I don't make it to class. I try to go every 2 days, so this will be perfect for me on those inbetween days. Namaste 💛

Thanks, Briohny! I always appreciate your very in-depth instructions on how to focus my body, and how to focus my mind. As a beginner, I often get lost during my poses, frustrated that I'm in pain, because of the length of the pose, but then forget that it's actually my choice to control the level of my flow. I appreciate all of your words.

I found the instruction very helpful, I am also a yoga teacher and these cues were spot on! The only criticism I have is the mention of 'calories'... As someone who has suffered from binge eating and comes to yoga as a safe space away from the culture of diet and body shaming, the mention of calories as if this the reason why I'm coming to the mat was way off base. Maybe instead of calories, the word energy can be used here, because really we want to feel we're giving the energy that the yoga requires - if it's a power yoga class, you have to put in power to receive power. You have to put in a lot of energy to receive both a boost of energy after you get off the mat, but also a refreshing meditation of calm in Savasana. Overall, great class

AWESOME JOB Briohny!! I loved this. I had two other gals do it and they were challenged. I told them "don't think like you can do all the poses like SHE does them...you have to start somewhere...just keep practicing it and you will get better"...This was just MY speed. Loved it...you are too sweet. Thank you for your time and energy creating this free video for us all to watch. God bless you!!

I appreciate how she explains and preps you before each asana. This might be too advanced for someone just starting out power yoga though.

I thought this video was incredible, especially for someone who is still familiarizing themself with yoga and pushing through the known comfort zone of the body. Briohny, you are so concise and thorough. I loved your guidance and instruction. I am looking forward to watching many more of your videos and improving my body movement and endurance. Namaste!

I am two months postpartum trying to get back to it and also just reconnect with my body through this exhaustion and this video was incredible! I couldn’t keep up with everything but I thought I felt such peace taking the time out of the day to spend releasing the tension in my body and reconnecting with myself thank you for this 30 minute vinyasa
