Alpaka vertical sling owner here, it’s perfect in all aspects except sometimes I wish it had a secondary strap so it didn’t slide around so much when bending over, riding bikes, etc
@Nomads.Nation6 ай бұрын
Secondary add-on strap is a good call although not sure how many ppl would actually buy one (so I might understand why Alpaka didn’t include it in the design)

I've been using this since it came out. Quick phone access while out and about is killer. Wish more slings had this feature. Zippers are great and definitely more secure, but sometimes quick access is worth the trade-off.

I'm on a search for an organizer that neither big nor small, the one that I can put in a sling (Evergoods MHP). This one is the closest thing to that "vision" that is available to me) The ability to wear it outside of a bag by strapping it to whatever is definitely a bonus.

Also!!! Loved the addition of Margaret to show this on different body types, but, like every other area is fashion, larger men are left guessing. I'm 5'11", 250, and always having to guess what a bag might look like worn on me. You need a beefy dude! Still, appreciate that you're roughly average size to compare to taller/shorter or thicker/thinner people. I've seen some bag companies who only use the most petite women to model their bags, so everything looks huge and not how they would look worn on the average person...

Hey! I've been looking at a few of your videos in the recent days and really like the style and information in your reviews. I found a cool bag from Alpaka called the Elements Tech Brief Pro but I can't really find any good reviews of it and I don't feel like blind buying without some trustworthy opinions first. I'm woundering if you would consider reviewing the Elements Tech Brief Pro and tell me your opinion on it? I found the 3 in 1 nature of it pretty cool.

It's a great sling but there's a lot of vertical space that's unused if you're using the organization properly. You'd need a very tall phone or tall notebooks to completely utilize the vertical dimensions.
@Nomads.Nation6 ай бұрын
agreed, it's a bit niche in that sense

It gives me "cell phone belt clip" when it's on the strap, but it seems like a great little design overall (unless cell phone belt clips are cool and I missed it?).

This one can also be worn on the belt. 🤣 Honestly bummed at how corny it looks on practice because, in theory, that's the kind of product I wanted to be able to easily access my phone when using another bag.

The Metro Pouch is a GREAT addition to a larger sling. I have it on my Alpaka Go Sling for when I need quick access to my wallet, buds, beard comb, pocket knife, and work badge. A bit too small for much else, but saves you from needing to swing your sling around to get into its pockets for your little things.

In my head canon, this review was inspired by the thread I started on Reddit that Aaron chimed in on. I've been using this thing pretty regularly for about a month now, and I love it. As noted, there's not a ton of space, but I was looking for something small. I will note that the Vertical Sling mentioned as a potential alternative appears to be on its way out - they've currently got it on clearance over on their "outlet" page.
