I've read multiple times one quote that sticks with me. “Suffering builds character and impels you to penetrate life's secrets." Why I choose to believe this is because at the end of all this, I see prospering. During 2022, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. While she is the strongest woman I've ever known and probably will remain that until I die, I can tell that she isn't the same as before. The suffering she endures tires her, she grows weary of it, and it saddens me to se her in such conditions. But I believe that only through persevering through such calamities can you see the light on the other side. Whether that is through the stillness of death or life's continuation I don't care. But I know there is a future of brightness. I know we will see a day after the hell. I know. That's my tirade.
@apieceoffabric294 Жыл бұрын
@@svenyes4078 That... very honestly sucks to hear. I was never one to give much speech about situations such as those, however I have experienced practically the same one. During 2017, my grandma was diagnosed with cancer, although, I forgot which part of the body. I think it was the liver. She died in 2018. And honestly, I completely agree with your statement. Until one by one, they didn't come back. I remember so vividly the last one to leave, he stayed for years and suddenly he stopped, eventually, it also lead to our fall out, it's not that we hated each other, we just stopped hanging out. But I still think about those times. So I mean, yeah, you're right, even if I can get nostalgic for a game I never stopped playing, I can't imagine how it will be when I do stop.

I thought it was super cool at the time, even though it was just a massive black cube. Hell, even our first house was cool. It was just a block of hollowed out water in the ocean, we didn't even have walls on it bc water didn't flow inwards... I built a little house using gold tools, even though my brother said they were a waste of gold, it was surrounded by oak trees on a little beach made of gravel. The inside was pure dirt, but I had a wooden door and a couple of chests filled with pork chops... We played before they added hunger and jungles, and my brother asked my dad to make a server so we could play together.. better times man. Better times.

"Once upon a time, there was a player. The player was you. Sometimes it thought itself human, on the thin crust of a spinning globe of molten rock. The ball of molten rock circled a ball of blazing gas that was three hundred and thirty thousand times more massive than it. They were so far apart that light took eight minutes to cross the gap. The light was information from a star, and it could burn your skin from a hundred and fifty million kilometres away. Sometimes the player dreamed it was a miner, on the surface of a world that was flat, and infinite. The sun was a square of white. I’ve spent these last couple weeks replaying old games, visiting old Minecraft worlds, and watching some episodes of Yogscast. While I may have a tough future ahead of me, I’m hopeful. This song is a great rendition and I cherish it. From the somber opening to the driving strings at the halfway. I look back on all the memories I’ve made, the friendships that have come and gone, the fantastic stories in games like Halo and Mass effect. To the adventures we made in our backyards and our virtual playground that is Minecraft. Things always change and while it may be scary, I am ready for everything coming my way.

me just sitting here thinking its been almost 4 years since this video was posted (unless my math is wrong) march of 2020 carried a lot of change, different for every individual for me, it ended my childhood it didn't end minecraft for me, or my goofy childlikeness. I still play often and I wouldn't consider myself an adult by any means but it was the change i moved across town. not a far move, but a big change for me I finally made friends, it was epic. It stays in my mind as the best summer ever, I spent almost every waking moment with my neighbors. Laughing, talking, growing. then I moved again. an even shorter move, I was used to it now. but I knew that a bigger move, scarier, more impactful than I could ever imagine was coming and it came and i moved far far away everything was pulled away from me and thats when I guess my childhood really ended I really started to mature I really had friends. I still miss my old friends but with my new friends I formed unbreakable bonds I guess all the change that came with the 202s was really positive a bit bittersweet, I will always look back on (what my brain can remember of) the 2010s with fondess, the good old days until I look back on my time right now and I think "those were the good old days because they are but they arent over they are happening right now I suppose I should get out there and live live some more grow some more play minecraft some more make some more friends there is a time for reminiscing, but not now the past happened, we might wish we could go back to it but we cant all we have is now the future is no garuntee so live your now right now go out there live some more talk some more grow some more maybe boot up minecraft again I love this song Alpha has and always will be the song that really sparks my emotions I don't cry or anything I just think. and this time i chose to put my thinkings into a very long youtube comment bc why not so here ya go this is my musings brought about by this incredible work of art, known as "Alpha", from a blocky kids game

Funny, how a track from a video game released in 2011 still affects so many people, even 13 years later. I sat awake last night for about an hour listening to this song and thinking. It really is a masterpiece.

Actually the author‘s pretty well known. It’s just one english translation of a quote from Dante Alighieri‘s divina commedia. That guy must have really known what he‘s talking about cause shit‘s still true 700 years later.

@@fickdenalgorithmus3251 I think he put *unknown* because that's what it says for the quote that's at the end of the credits once you've beat the dragon.

My parents tell me that videogames make you lazy and uncreative, that they rot your brain... Boi look at Minecraft... Take one look at my world and tell me I'm uncreative

Isabella thats the best part about minecraft. The only way to keep having fun is to get more and more creative. After a while coming up with something to do takes time and thinking. Imo its both a blessing and a curse.

I started that decade as an innocent little child who didn’t know much about the world... I ended it knowing how much corruption and evil it’s full of. Feel like a doomer and I’ve only been an adult for 10 months

The same thing happened to me, except I only just turned 18 about 7 months ago
