A couple days ago I went on to one of my oold worlds with my brother and remembered all the good times, we sailed out to look for a village to get stuff from the villagers and found the island that had the stronghold underneath, we went down the stairs and looked around, so many memories. We then built a new house and thought "have fun while you can" I will never leave minecraft. Those times aren't over, we still play in 1.12, before all the updates and when time was simpler. I was traumatised that i cant be able to play on that world so I had to take it into my own hands to relive the past as i didn't want to lose it. Absolutely my favorite song. I remember. I remember hearing this song, hearing those mice dancing as I built my first ever mountain home in Alpha 1.1.0. I remember hearing that old yet satisfying door clacking before it was updated to the one we know now. And I remember in alpha 1.1.2 when Notch added the pocket watch (now named the 'clock') I remember creating a computer with a block of iron, a painting and a pressure plate with a lever on a bookshelf table. I remember The cooked meat that wouldn't stake, the instant fishing mechanic, and the awful farming mechanic of the time. I remember creating that lighthouse to find my home, fighting for my life every night from not having the comfort of a warm bed to sleep the night away. I remember. Oh how I remember it so. Thank you deeply, Aqua. You may see some of my other comments on these videos, as you have shot a bullet of pure memories and nostalgia into my head I never thought I'd remember. Now I'm sixteen, going on seventeen and this is the only time I can say I am a boomer. When I was around before so many iconic items were in this game. For me, Minecraft was more than a game. It was an experience. I remember my old Obi - Wan Kenobi skin as I played with one of my cousins who was a redstone expert (I never learned how to use it Haha). So thank you. Thank you very much :)

The sad thing is his mom, Eve her heart was too big and she ended up passing away from a heart attack and i havent seen my friend in like 7 years now because eves grandparents blamed it on eve’s boyfriend for her death and i live with him so thats why we havent seen him in forever. Of course, there are no problems to open the game again but,as for me,i don't feel anything like sadness or nostalgy while just playing minecraft but I feel something deep inside me only when i'm listening to ost and see all these nostlagic vids nowadays. I don't want the 2010s to end. My childhood, the time I learned to laugh at the new and cry at the old. The 2010s were the era of Minecraft, and without it, some of us would be completely different people. SkydoesMinecraft would have never done Minecraft. Stampy wouldn't have his Love Garden to add to everyday. DanTDM would have never done Diamond Dimensions. Popularmmos would have never done The Crafting Dead series. These people would be in diffrent places now if it weren't for Minecraft. It started KZbin careers. Without Minecraft, most of these popular KZbinrs wouldn't be, well, popular. And Minecraft is still doing it. New generations of KZbinrs have played Minecraft and got popular. Minecraft may make another return, perhaps. But for now, check on your dogs often because you never know when you will forget to log on for the last time. It's crazy to think that such a game would sweep the world and start childhoods, but here we are, crying over a series of piano notes, because we care.

this song never fails to make me emotional. as i’m currently listening to it, i’m thinking about 4th grade, when things were simpler. i had a bunch of friends over and we made a minecraft world together. we had so much fun. one of those friends moved schools. another one just drifted apart from me. another moved away and i rarely get to see her. another turned out to be toxic. i miss when things were better. minecraft used to be just a game, now it’s one of the only reasons i’m still here. i’ve grown to really appreciate what the game has become and how many people it has helped. thank you.

Man I remember when it was my birthday my mom took me to GameStop and bought me a 360 with black ops and Minecraft, and it was the 360 slim with built in WiFi. All of my friends had the same one so I added all of them as soon as I got home and set it up. I remember I would stay up super late on school nights playing call of duty and Minecraft with my friends, I would also play Minecraft with my cousins as well. All of us were so carefree, we had nothing to worry about in the world except worrying about what we were gonna play or what we were gonna do after school. 2010-2016 were the days I wish I could go back and relive, especially the summer nights when that gust of cool air would go through your open window, and the sound of crickets and frogs out in the distance while playing Minecraft or COD. I’m still happy to say that my friend group moved over to gaming pcs and we still enjoy playing games with each other like we used to as kids. But we’ve obviously don’t have enough time like we used to. We’ve grown up now we’re adults now with responsibilities it’s a tough world out there, but as long as I got my friends we can still enjoy life. Mice on Venus will always be that song that will always bring me back to those days. I am glad to see that there are others in the comments that shared the same experience as me. :)

I’ll never forget the time when me and my sister and cousins wanted to build a sky world in Minecraft PE. I was 8 years old. I’m 15 now. We spent 6 hours straight building the world on our iPod touches. They are all older and in college now. The other day I found my iPod touch and found Minecraft on it. I logged on and found the world that I made with my family all those years ago. I shed some tears and then called them all up to tell them what I had found. It was a happy moment but also a sad one that I won’t forget. Thank you Minecraft and my childhood for everything.

This reminds me of playing back on the 360, playing the demo with my sibling and friends on the castle, with the iron blocks on the bottom, and the spawn area. After a while of constantly playing the demo me and my sibling asking our dad to buy the full game, he did and we spent a whole summer break playing it with friends aswell, i cherish what i can remember, and this song was one of the first other than subwoofer lullaby. Many days of building, and one day we decided to make a large hunger games map, just for us to do, it took 4 of us 2 months of non stop playing to build it block by block, and when we where done we had a blast.

It just makes me want to cry, sometimes I really have a close connection to a pet in Minecraft, and losing it would devastate me. One time I had a dog in my world named bubba, which is what I called my grandpa who passed in 2009. My only reason to keep playing on that world isn’t to keep adding on to it, but to keep bubba company and keep him safe.

They’re sad because most people see nostalgia as a sad emotional thing. Especially when people that were in their teen years when Minecraft was at its peak are in the 20s now with jobs, some even married with kids. As much as they agree that these are good memories, thats what generates the sadness. When they compare their busy lives now, it makes their childhood seem like much more of a utopia than is probably seemed like at the time, thus why you often hear the quote “We didn’t know we were making memories we just knew we were having fun”. To many people this is a major element of what made up their childhood so it’s understandable why they feel this way.

I’m so glad I’m listening to these calming, slowed down versions of the og minecraft soundtrack. It’s really helping me with calming my anxiety and really helps my mental health. Thank you so much. All of these minecraft songs generate memories for me as well, as I used to play this game with my brother, until he kinda drifted away and does his own things now. It also reminds me of the times I used to play it with friends. I don’t have any anymore, as the earliest ones I played with grew up, and well, the latest have just forgotten about me entirely… This and other music is really helping me push through, so thank you a lot.
