You can tell if the PRV is passing on these because there's a plastic plug you can pull out, little grey thing that can be pulled out on the PRV line. Have a look.

One thing Allen said is right on these boilers is the hot water quality is poor. Gas valve is not reliable. Co reading always high on these Fan is another problem Overall it's good boiler to work on

Installed 4 of them this year, all 4 were high on combustion close to action levels to achieve manufacturer specs when commissioning. Positives: • More quiet when operating than the equivalent Baxi appliance (other than diverter motor) • slim depth profile is neat • Impressive modulation range for the price, of 6:1. (More than equivalent Baxi) • Range rateable, opentherm compatible, installer level settings for controls such as short cycle limitation, pump speeds, flow temp lock etc. (Much more than the equivalent Baxi). • Radial stainless steel heat exchanger We will see what the reliability is like, all 4 have been fitted to landlord rental properties and coming up to first year services shortly. All in all a good boiler for the price, with good levels of installer control.

Hey Gary, thanks for your comment! The extra two-year warranty with the Premier Pack is actually just a promotion that Alpha is offering. We think it's worth it!

@@Heatable I think that is a good incentive to buy one, two questions, what is the difference between the Premier pack/Pro and spacer. Can the flowsmart wall hung be used with the etec plus 33 or 38 kW. Regards Gary So I can purchase the correct items

the price for the premier pack is essentially covering the cost of additional warranty as the premier pack comes with the filter so eliminating the need to purchase the filter separately worth it for pice of mind @@Heatable

I install alpha boilers and I will reaffirm the easy stat is not fu%^&n easy to use I usually end up changing them as customers can't use them but apart from that I have no issues with them unlike some others

Alpha and Good in the same sentence, never, would not fit one let alone recommend it to anyone, the external design is poor and looks ugly compared to others on the market. The gas valve is from Honeywell's parent company, so a good valve tbh. M.E.G. is what they mainly add to the gas that can cause some valves to stick, mainly if the unit is left turned off for many days, Regarding the SS main heat ex, I wonder what Alpha's policy is, if it needed to be replaced due to system water contamination, during its warranty period? I know that another budget boiler maker charged for this work. Hope you managed to warm up tho, I am sure you could of got another coat on lol..

I'd be more inclined to move to the woods burn my belongings and survive off my own waste than fit an alpha

I used to be a brand snob as well only offer Worcester or baxi but kept loosing work then a fellow engineer coaxed me to try these I haven't had any issues with Alpha unlike the premium brands approx 130 alpha boilers last year and 6 manufactures call backs approx 40 premium brand boilers with 60 plus call backs ( gas valves and leaks from plate heat exchangers ) shouldn't have to name brand as anyone fitting enough will know the make I'm on about @@Heatable
