I have taken ALA for over 30 years along with the other 4 major antioxidants, vit E, vit C, NAC, and CoQ10. All these antioxidants support and replenish each other and form an antitoxdant wheel which is the basis of our health. I am 71 years old, have never been overweight, have no health issues and look and act many years younger. I highly recommend the simultaneous use of these 5 antioxidants.

I started taking alpha lipoic acid a couple of months ago with Berberine as they are supposed to power each other up. So far I am feeling better and working on lowering cholesterol and fighting metabolic syndrome. I have also started to lose weight. Slow and steady. I am only taking 200 mg a day but I think I may increase it by another 200mg for a month , then take it from there. I also have chromium but hesitate to take these three together as it may lower my blood sugar too much. I am not diabetic but really want to get back to my slim self of the past. Thank you for all of your dedication to teach us what other doctors won't.👍🇨🇦🙏

If you take ALA you could be getting: 1- a mix of both R & L - right and left- so since L is inactive you are only getting half the stated dose. 2- you could be getting only L so the dose won’t matter since it’s completely inactive. 3- Only use R-ALA to get the correct dose.

Titanium's inert nature: Titanium is generally considered a biocompatible metal, meaning it doesn't readily react with the body's tissues, including antioxidants like ALA. ALA's antioxidant properties: Alpha Lipoic Acid acts as an antioxidant, which could potentially even help mitigate oxidative stress that might occur around implant sites

Thanks for the informative presentation. First time viewer. Recommend looking into the emerging field of chronobiology/pharmacology. When we discuss dosage ranges, also need to include, timing and with or without food. But very, very few people address "When" to take supplements throughout the day/week/month and how to appropriately cycle nutrient intake in accordance with circadian rhythms. And given individual variability, many will have to just experiment with dosages and timing in order to discover what works for them. Living ain't easy, but your contribution here helps.

R-ALA also uses thiamin. I had to add thiamin into the mix as it was causing heart palpitations. I had a birthmark that started small about the age of 14. It grew almost to 1 cm. A doctor talked me out of removing it while still having two others removed. I had poured boiling water over my leg and the damage healed nicely. The birthmark was on the edge of this burned patch of skin. Years later after my skin already was healed a few years I started taking R-ALA. To my surprise after a few months of taking this alongside other supplements my mole had disappeared. It was risen but gotten flat and almost all of the colour was gone as well. That disappeared as well later on. So it does indeed repair some of the flaws in the body.
