Men who want to be Alpha's instead of Beta's need to realize that treating women with respect and dignity and kindness doesn't make you a simp, it makes you a man with integrity. Women aren't the enemy, if you believe all women are out to manipulate you and cheat on you the second they get an opportunity, then why are you pursuing them at all? This isn't the solution to getting your needs for connection and closeness met (which we all have).

So cringy i hate the "market value" bs. I do think there are good aspects of masculinity in relationship and some of the "red pill" literature is right on target - I think a lot of guys are emotionally immature and needy - things like prioritizing your needs going to the gym, cleaning up after yourself, being a leader, paying bills, having guy friends and hobbies, practicing stoicism - takes a ton of pressure off the feminine in the relationship. Two books that exemplify this self discovery for me are "no more mr nice guy" by Dr. Glover and "masculine in relationship" by gs Youngblood. Both incredible men that I have been able to talk with and spend time with.

@@Jervdbur You do not seem to understand how "independent women" work. 😅 That's women who are going about their day AND are also independent in relationships. Please, has noone yet taught you the difference between being dependent and independent, INSIDE and OUTSIDE of relationships? It's not mutually exclusive. 🫣 If anything, independency makes ppl way more able to ace realtionships. The difference is between "needing and having to have sth./sb." vs. "wanting and wanting to have sth./sb. in your life, cause it's lovely and it works". And also sometimes humans have no sexual needs or romantic needs and still follow these principles of "need" vs. "want" in platonic relationships.

This video reminds me of those protester street interviews where a few people who don't know what they are protesting about are made out look like they represent the group in a cherry-picking fallacy. The main alpha controversy is about the "clean your room" mentality. It is about self-improvement. This movement involves making yourself a better person. It is the opposite of "I am the table". There are many marriages where one partner describes their feelings as, "I love my partner, but am not in love with them." The old school solution to save this type of marriage was to ask the dissatisfied partner what they need out of the relationships. Empirical evidence shows filling this need leads to divorce. Instead, the partner who is content should ignore what the other partner says and concentrate on improving themselves (raising their sexual marketplace value). Many marriages have been saved this way.

If it takes him considering how HE would feel if HIS daughter was treated badly, then he’s obviously one of those men who don’t actually see women as people and see them as possessions. He doesn’t care if any other woman is treated badly for being a woman - he only cares if it’s HIS daughter (his possession). Those men are only offended because they see it as a disrespect aimed at THEMSELVES when their ‘property’ (aka: how they see their daughters) is disrespected. These type of men are misogynistic and just because they started seeming like they might respect (or just stop blatantly disrespecting) women in front of you, doesn’t mean they stopped disrespecting other women or that they stopped disrespecting women for the right reasons - for the reason that they are people, regardless of if they are their daughter or of no relation to them.

He has stated in another video that much of his content can be taken with man or woman replaced with partner, and the meaning remains the same. If you are male and also the anxiously attached person in your relationships, then the advice still applies to you and can help you. Certain behaviors and attachment styles might be more prevalent in one gender, but they aren't exclusive to it. This video addresses the alpha male concept, which is obviously more specific, but if you dig deeper into his content, you will find help and good advice for your personal situation as long as you aren't hung up on gender each time you watch. If you know yourself well enough to accurately place yourself in these scenarios, you can find how to adjust your approach and how to heal.

Most of those guys don't want love or even sex if they're honest. They want control, they want to dominate... They can't even conceive of someone doing something for them out of love, much less hope for it. You can't father their inner child into understanding because their inner child has had to become mother (mother is god to an infant). They've chosen father figures that their very young inner child thinks could have better forced their mother to give them the nurture and love they needed. You aren't it. They need it demonstrate in a physically concrete way (even if it's fiction like most of the "alpha" content creators) that your way would guarantee the results they needed as children. Then you might start to get to them.
@Dice-Z
@Dice-Z 5 ай бұрын
Many absolutely do want love. Not control. It's just that control is the only way they feel like they can secure a woman's love. Many have warped views of relationships because of movies, shows, and lack of proper role models.
@MooseCracker
@MooseCracker 5 ай бұрын
@@Dice-Z They do want love. Deep inside they need it, like anyone. Most just don't know what love is well enough to even fathom it. They take bad father figures from movies, social media, etc. for a reason. They accept the messages because they are already damaged too much to understand what the love they need is. They are looking for confirmation that they're right, that it's something that can be gained through a power struggle, and they find the "alpha" stuff because they are so deeply into their delusion that they are actively looking for guidance on the skill to achieve it. It doesn't mean there's no solution. It just means rationalising it as he does in the video, doesn't work. He's preaching to the choir but it won't reach the people who need to change. Btw, I'm not looking for ways to just flip it around and blame the mother / women for this state of things. They are locked in the conflict with the role they took on , of being their own mother (the god to their inner infant) and inner child, playing it out in real relationships or, more likely, wished for relationships - but most often their actual mother's inability to give them what they needed still comes back to patriarchal structures and male dominance.
@MaryDunford
@MaryDunford 5 ай бұрын
@Dice-Z I believe you. Whatever this perceived power struggle between the sexes is, it has to stop. How can anyone possibly feel loved if they're too busy trying to perform, or feel trusted when they're being manipulative, themselves? I have every reason to distrust the opposite sex. But I also believe many men must have their reasons for distrusting women, as well. Both sides have to give a little latitude to get some, I think. Otherwise, we'll remain at an impasse.
@TheFeldhamster
@TheFeldhamster 5 ай бұрын
@@MaryDunforda lot of the "reasons" for men comes from having to give up privilege. When you've always had privilege and you have to give it up, for many people it feels like they're under attack and have something stolen from them. Just think about it. Suddenly they can't just have sex in their marriage anytime they want, whether the wife wants to or not, because rape in marriage suddenly became an offense. And not that long ago, either, for most developed countries, that happened only in the mid 1990s(!), so well within living memory. And not only can the wife no say no and call the police, she's now financially independent enough to divorce these guys and walk away. When only 30 years ago alpha guy could have just done whatever he wanted. Yeah sure he's angry when what used to be his free sex slave cattle property is suddenly upgraded to a "real human"TM and gets all "uppity" and demands decent treatment - to those guys their God given cattle suddenly got all entitled. The audacity! And then there's the job market. There's way less jobs that require physical strength anymore. Also, those jobs, that they all (or their fathers) broke their backs for are no longer respected or even shamed as bad for the environment (like, eg. coal mining). So, they went from being slave owners with respected jobs to disrespecting, looked-down upon, probably unemployed guys in just 3 decades. Because "the feminists" got all uppity and now they even have to compete with them in office workplaces. Yes, there will be a percentage of women who do men dirty. But the majority of the anger and mistrust of men against women comes from resentment of structural change and loss of privilege and position and potentially feeling useless. Colleague of mine broke up with her guy not too long ago because he tried to go all alpha male on her. Guess what, she earns almost 3x than him. And he couldn't take it. Because the reasonable choice would have been for him to reduce his hours to take care of the household and their little kid more instead of the family suffering a loss of income if she had stayed home (which is what he wanted). But naaah, his pride, his precious pride!

When men start discussing "alpha males," I cannot help but think of the very specific Omega/Alpha/Beta kink. I won't kink shame, but putting it that frame makes these supposedly "alpha males" really funny.

I’ve been through a lot of mental health therapy and you are just hands down the best - what a tremendous distillation of attitudes and perceptions . I have three beautiful daughters and this is just as solid as can be. You are a purveyor of wisdom and peace - thank you . ( you are an amazing actor and role player as well ) 🙏🌏✌️

Hi Jimmy, I'm not sure if you'd read this, but fingers crossed! I've been watching your videos for a while and my partner and I have been practising healthy communication skills (e.g. emotional validation) based on your videos. It's been really helpful, but the problem is that my partner's first language is Chinese and it's kind of difficult for her to understand everything especially with the technical terms and "therapy terminology". I really hope that she'd be able to watch your videos independently because they are very, very helpful. Would you consider the option of allowing viewers to add subtitles to your videos? I've seen several content creators that have enabled this function. In this way, I could add Chinese subtitles to your videos (I'm a native English and Chinese speaker) so that my partner and people whose first language is Chinese could access your videos more easily.

I have a question: what would you suggest to someone in a relationship like me who has a partner with very crude humor? I’ve told him that it bothers me and he says while he doesn’t quite understand why some of the things he says/jokes about bothers me, he’s trying to work on it but every once in a while he’ll forget that I’m not one of his buddies and say something really off-color that makes me wonder if I just need to give him a pass and trust that he’s working on it or if it’s just going to be like this because that’s “just who he is” and if I should leave while I can

At the beginning of the video, I have a question, could those persons not only try to be "alpha male person" but also maybe narcissistic? Could a narcissistic person present themselves at first like that or to give that impression to someone only after to realise they are actually scared and only build walls or could that also be a manipulative way that they try to use?🤔

If someone hasn't been diagnosed with anything and you've expressed that they should find help and they didn't take it seriously until you brought it up again, should you accept that they will now take it into consideration or should you take note that you have to push someone to be better for you and that maybe you should not have to beg someone to consider what you say...
@irishrose23

People who need help get it FOR THEMSELVES. Not for you. Like an alcoholic quits drinking for themselves, not for the people around them who are begging them to get help. Getting help is hard work. If it's something THEY want, maybe they'll do it. If it's only for you, forget it. Won't happen.

I know that you're trying to make more connections with male viewers. And that's definitely a good thing. But to us women, only being seen as humans worthy of getting treated with human dignity because we're someone's daughters or sisters or moms is a true horror. We're humans, and want to be treated as humans. For ourselves, not for others. I get that some people need to take this detour to end up with empathy, but please be careful that you're not chasing away women from your channel in your efforts to attract more men towards your channel. It's an argument that to many of us is genuinely hurtful.

If this is him trying to make a connection with male viewers then he either has a really skewed perception on the average guy or he's going about it in a really condescending way. Most average guys who struggle with relationships don't buy into this "alpha male, treat women like crap to emotionally manipulate them to be dependent so they won't leave" schtick, they want a genuine emotional connection and healthy relationship but don't know how to build/find it (and that's something that people in general nowadays struggle with, even outside romantic relationships). This caricature of an guy feels like it's more for his women viewers so they can say "yes, more guys need to be like this!" and vent about their experiences
