The younger man/older woman dynamic actually has a lot to speak for itself. Among other things, it generally occurs between two gendered classes that are roughly equivalent with respect to their normalized sexual marketplace values. What's more, both parties generally understand that the relationship is fairly short-term, making it one of the most sexually-charged matchups possible. Why this isn't done more often is beyond me. For a years I felt insecure in public and even avoided my family, but I no longer care what people may think, if they think anything at all. If older men can marry younger women, why not the reverse? I should also state for the record, I'm also the "breadwinner," so I didn't marry her for money.

You are spot on with the age bracket! When I met my husband he was 24, and I was 42 - we will be married 14 years in Feb.!!! Let me add that I had hoped to find a man in my own age bracket after a failed previous marriage. The ones that were my age and single- let's just say there were many reasons they were still single, and it began to feel like all of the good guys in my age range were already taken. When I met my husband he had just finished his second tour in Iraq, and I had no intentions of being more than friends. It did not seem realistic to be more than friends, and I think this is where dynamics play a part with big age gaps. He did not want biological kids- and I did not want to have more kids. Fighting combat in war makes you mature fast , so he did not act like most men do at 24. Neither of us were financially secure when we met so there were no feelings of being used for money. Like all couples we have had conflicts along the way, but none of them were caused or attributed by our age gap. U were lucky. I only had some sparse and negligible dating episodes throughout my 20s, so I could never acquire the sexual experience a man must have by my age. Now, I'm in my early 30s, but without a single big lifetime achievement under my belt (when I was about to take off, the pandemic kicked my ass so hard that I'm still picking up the pieces to this day). In practical terms, it means that my sexual market value hasn't really changed since I was 18. But, unlike my 18 self, my sex drive has plummeted, my gray hair is starting to pop up and get noticeable from a short distance, and I'm far less optimistic about life, society, and relationships (especially romantic ones). Despite all that, I still refuse to lower my standards. I still refuse to date low-quality women. I still refuse to stick my jimmy in some old dry-ass pu$sy. Unfortunately, nature has been cruel to women as far as how long they are found to be physically attractive to men, then there is also the fact that they stop ovulating around their 40s or 50s, or at the very least have significantly increased chances of having a child with issues if they still can ovulate, while men can stay fertile well into old age, though with diminished "seed" quality. Most guys probably don't think consciously about having kids with the women they sleep with, but their instincts will always take that into consideration, and our instincts have more control over what we do or don't like than most people seem to realize.

In the US roughly 78% of those relationships don't last more than 5 years and are 3 times more likely to end in divorce than couples of the same age or ones where the man is 3-7 years older. 60-90% of men would date an older woman but only 14% would actually consider marrying them. These are "for now" men. Most of them will abandon older women once that woman goes into menopause or has her looks start to fade. Men always trade in for younger models. when I was around 35 I was dating mid 20's for not particular reason. It just so happened that I clicked with that age. I look and get guessed at least 10years younger than I am anyway. Back in college, I would occasionally go salsa dancing. I was a complete beginner (which is awful if you're a man) and I can say with certainty that the older ladies were BY FAR more pleasant learn and practice with than the younger ones. Once upon a time I was 23 and she was divorced and 32. It lasted about a year. Until I found another woman my own age. It was a pretty good relationship. But it was not primarily sexual. I think society has programmed us too much that it's okay for a guy 20 yrs plus older to approach a much younger woman. And to frown upon women 5 yrs and above to have a younger partner. Okay here comes the fly in the ointment. I agree with everything you say regarding the win-win aspect of both parties having a good time and deriving maximum pleasure and experience from one other. The issue occurs with the female bonding process. When women have ongoing sex with one man regardless of age they begin to bond with the man and the bonding process can be very strong in older passionate women. And when the inevitable time comes where she's getting a little too old and he's getting a little too interested in younger women again It's usually the woman that goes down in flames and takes a total emotional beating when the split occurs. It is very sad to watch I have warned many a first-time cougar friend of mine to be careful. This can be a very demoralizing and devastating no quarter way to wreck a woman's self-confidence and her place in life as she is quickly approaching midlife. One of my very first experiences was with an older woman and it was AMAZING. I was 19 and she was 39, maybe 40 at the time. The story of our first "hook up" is like something out a movie, whether a porn flick or an actual Hollywood screenplay. She was the boss, my manager. I was just a college kid working full time trying to get somewhere in life. I got tapped to go to a training meeting with her at another restaurant in our district about 90 minutes away (it was a restaurant chain, not a mom and pop operation). Looking back on it, I was too clueless to see the signs that she had a thing for me. I was certainly not the cook with the most seniority, although I was one of the better cooks she had and so I was the one she picked to go with her to learn how to prepare a new menu item and teach the other cooks. It was the dead of winter, very cold and snow was in the forecast, though predictions of how bad it would be were all over the place. About halfway through the training session it started to snow, lightly at first and then like mad. At some point the district manager decided that conditions were such that everyone had to either get to their hotels or head back home. Some people came from locations even further away, so they had rooms booked for them. She and I headed out. She wanted me to drive her car, which sucked. Her car was rear wheel drive and absolutely horrible in the snow. We almost got stuck a couple of times just trying to get to the highway. About halfway home things started to improve. Plows had gotten out and I felt more confident.... that is when out of the blue she said, "I think its too dangerous to keep going. Pull off at this next exit." For obvious reasons I wasn't going to argue with her... I admit some pretty dark fantasies had already been zooming through my 19 year old horny brain and this woman, though twice my age, had a body on her, an incredible body she took very good care of... just an older looking face. Her ex had paid for a couple of enhancing features, shall we say. There was a Holiday Inn at this exit with a 7eleven right next to it. We pulled into the 7eleven where she went in to pay for gas. She came back out with a bag (toothbrushes and a small toothpaste). "What do you think about just getting rooms here and heading back out early in the morning?" I was all over that. I knew with the storm my classes would likely be cancelled and I was really kind of enthralled at that point. But I did say, "That's fine by me, but I can't really pay for a room. I didn't bring that much money with me." She responded with, "I got that covered." But as we pulled into the parking lot of the hotel, she said, "Rooms are expensive. If we got one with two beds, are you okay if we share a room?" "I'm fine with that." I replied But she had to say this.. "But listen, we probably shouldn't tell anyone that we shared a room. You know what everyone would think, right?" I reassured her, "Oh, well yeah. People are stupid. Why even tell them anything if we get back early enough. I ain't going to say a word about this." And the die was caste. She drank at the hotel bar as I had soda and ate appetizers (being too young to drink, lol). Let's just say she had more than one drink that night before we went back to the room. I got very little sleep that night and neither did she. Both beds were a complete wreck by the morning. At 19 a guy can recover pretty damn fast and he can want satisfaction over and over again... which is what I think she needed from a guy half her age. And although she was my boss, I just took total control of her... her reactions and completely submissive demeanor just brought me to it. I think this might have something to do with "plausible denial" - If I had shot off at the mouth back home, she could say, "He was an animal and I had too much to drink. He just wouldn't stop!." It turned into hair pulling, ass slapping, face in the mattress, butt in the air, arms held by the wrist behind her back, every which way kind of love making... Just between a 40 year old submissive woman and very fit, athletic teenager. I had no idea I could be that dominate until it happened. But there was also caressing, soft kissing, slow foreplay... it was full range and no holes barred insanity. Our "friendship" continued for about 6 months before the company transferred her to another location. We both think that our district manager caught wind of our relationship and that is what facilitated the transfer. The gossip at the restaurant was thick and it was obvious there was something going on between us. The little toady assistant manager Russ was probably the snitch. God knows I wasn't going to scream "sexual harassment!", though I'm sure that was the DM's concern.

Her, "I suppose this isn't hard work, but I'd rather not have to do this. Id rather we both had the day off." Me, "But what would we do with a day off? At least we're on the clock." Her, "I'm salary. The clock doesn't mean anything... so anything would be better." Me, after a pause... "You probably shouldn't say anything." And she giggled. Something deep inside came too life hearing that tiny, barely noticeable giggle. She made sure I knew she had the next day off. I was sure to tell her my classes would likely cancel due to weather and I didn't have to be in to work till 4 the next afternoon. She made sure to tell me how her tubes were tied 7 years earlier, how the only thing she missed about her husband was the regular sex without the worry of catching something and hating condoms. I made sure to mention that all those flirty young waitresses at our restaurant that kept hitting on me were not attractive to me and how I had been single and without anyone since the start of the semester. The conversation became pretty much bar pick up stuff. So by the time she asked about not going further, we both knew where it all was headed. It seemed obvious enough to me since the roads were actually better the further south we drove. And funny enough, the front of the storm ended up being just north of where we lived. Our restaurant was just over 60 miles south of the training meeting. Where we lived had far less snow (maybe 3 inches at most) while just up the road where we started out they got a pretty thick covering, probably over 6 inches in a single night. Later she told me she had that exit in mind because of the hotel. And funny, she said she was kind of hating that the snow was lighter the further we went. LOL! So she felt like she was taking a risk in her seduction, like it was too obvious.

No, but that wasn't the goal for either of us. I can't speak for her, but being older now than she was then I just suspect she had hit a stage in her life where she needed a certain type of male attention and for completely selfish reasons. I was only 20 when it ended, but I was built back then and worked out. It wasn't that i couldn't get a girlfriend my age. Hell, I had the young waitresses there always talking about me and interested and I really do think that was a huge part of why she wanted me in this way. I've just learned that women are way more attracted to men they KNOW are wanted by other women, stupid as that may be. And being the age I was, I wanted her for completely selfish reasons too. I could have all the sex I wanted without the worry of her getting pregnant or her becoming emotionally needy and clingy and a pain in my ass, which is what happened EVERY SINGLE TIME with girls my age. You get right down to it, it was an ego trip for her and fulfilling a huge fantasy for me. Sure there was genuine concern for one another too.... but when she got transferred and was worried about losing her job and the possibility of it all coming out, she broke contact with me a short time later (the days before cell phones) and for all I know she started banging some other young guy at the new place. We talked maybe twice more and hooked up one more time a week after... and she made clear that our futures were going to be apart, and I was okay with that... When she got inside my dorm room, she said, "Make it a good one because this has got to be our last time together." And I did, probably only second to that first time. We couldn't be quite so loud in my dormitory.

I think a better way to think about this is to first ask yourself “what do I want” and make that clear to the other person in the beginning of the relationship. If they say “no” or are unsure, then it’s best to look elsewhere.
