Overall a good review of the bag. A friendly suggestion for you is to be mindful of your lighting. Brighter lighting would have made your review better.

Thanks! Yeah I’ve got some lighting but the settings on the camera weren’t great. As you can see, the close up shots on the second camera look better. Last weekend I changed some of the settings again to try and have it show up better. So working on it!

Hey sorry for the late reply. I would say that this is a bit of a heavy bag for the size when it comes to travel. I'd suggest something lighter with X-Pac or Dyneema materials.

Awesome review and shots, i have a question, how does the strap system stands up against an axiom 24? Is it better, stiffer? And what about how much can it hold compared to the axiom? Thank you! Keep the reviews coming!

Thanks! The straps are designed a bit differently on each bag, but I'd say the carry experience is very similar. The Axiom 24 might be like 0.5% better... The Axiom straps start out stiffer and break in after time. The Evade holds a bit more than the Axiom.

What do you think of this bag for a college student? I carry a laptop and like three notebooks and a 1.5inch binder. Plus pens and calculators and all that other stuff

Other than weight, what would be the important differences between the Evade 1.5 500d vs 420d ripstop material?

It really comes down to which material you like better and why. Both are excellent materials. I prefer the ripstop material because it is thinner, still durable, and a bit lighter. But others feel differently. It all comes down to preference.

They are both awesome. I prefer the Pathfinder aesthetically because it's more of a slick look.

I carry a zip pouch for my wallet/iPhone/keys that is 7"W x 4"H x 2"D. Would that fit in the upper quick access pocket?

Jeff - I just measured and the zipper opening for the quick access pocket is right at 7". the H and the D would be no issue, just depends on if you are able to flex the pouch into the opening.
