Same. I have Full GoXLR with the SM7B. I had an issue with mine where I put custom text on the LCD screen that was too long and it literally flipped the image and inverted the background color by itself. Super annoying and then long story short, it messed up more stuff when trying to fix it. I turned off the GoXLR and turned it back on(I turned my surge protector off/on) and it fixed it once I powered GoXLR + PC. There’s another issue I had which is my cell antenna in my iPhone XR, when next to the GoXLR or any other cable, it would make a constant buzzing thumping sound. Example, I put my phone touching the GoXLR and then tap the screen to wake it up, it would make a very loud 4x thumping sound, after it would make a constant buzzing thumping sound but not as loud. Figured out the problem was my cell antenna in the phone was the issue and that turning off the phone obviously fixed it or turning on Airplane Mode which disabled the cell antenna in it and it stopped that way too.

This feels like a really great starting point for this device. The bones and guts are definitely note worthy. I think that once Razer watches all these reviews they can make all the adjustments in Synapse and have a next level product
@mattyfreshgaming62202 жыл бұрын
But...they've had 3+ years to learn from goxlr and basically ripped off the design and function. The software needed to be FIRE for this product to actually be relevant, especially given the higher price point. Trusting razer to make the software side better is a gamble I wouldn't personally take.

Adding this as a helpful tip since it was a point of contention: you can go into Effects and set separate profiles for various effects settings (monster, Gollum, clown) and then save a combo keypress for each profile. Triggering the effects that way is immediate, no losing that moment. And, you get many versions.

Just a heads up for everyone for an issue I encountered that had a very easy fix but my mind went to much complicated places to resolve lol. Plugging my headset into the front headset port, I noticed the volume was extremely low even with the sound levels adjusted to 100 in every possible place I could think of. I changed the USB port I used on the back of my PC to another port and everything was back to normal, could hear everything loud and clear. I almost returned this product from the frustration I felt trying to figure out why the volume was so low =(. Hope this helps someone out there dealing with that problem.

What I have learned from this video, the Razer RGB Key Light video, and my own personal experience with Razer products (I love my DeathAdder mouse still) is that Razer needs to put together a serious development team for their software. Synapse needs a major overhaul and needs to be uniform across all devices. When you add a new Razer product it should just load the needed module for that given product and all the Razer products should be getting along fine within the single app without any hassle.

@@BudWilson13 Loopback is a “virtual interface” Within its software, you can decide what programs you want it to look for. Then in Reaper, select what you have created in Loopback, as your interface. This will allow you to create tracks, and decide what program or whatever you would like to have on each one. In Loopback I also create a virtual device called “OBS output”. This will add a secondary virtual stereo output, that you can send a custom mix to. In OBS, set mic/input to “OBS output”. I hope some of that helped, what a messy description, haha. If this had hold and toggle mute on the microphone channel it would open up the voice effects to have its own dedicated button, maybe 2-3 small buttons so it's not as clunky, added more voice effects, integrated submixes, and cleaned up the software a bit for more customizability, this would've been a 10/10 product especially due to its more compact design.

does this mixer offer recording and streaming with separate audio tracks? one track for the stream, more tracks for each thing one wants separate, e.g. voice chats are one extra/separate track, then music, game audio, alerts, and then one more for everything else it'd be great to be able to adjust the volume they output on stream AND in one's playback devices respectively, and to also have the audio levels for recordings be unchanged while being able to on top of that adjust it just for the stream as well as for the playback device(s) via the faders, all while each source is separate for each of those "output places" (stream, recording, playback). is that even possible with a mixer like the goxlr, razer's knockoff, avermedia's beacn's and co.? is there even a solution that can do that without having to run bloated software on the gaming pc and/or on the streaming pc if one uses one to offload to for recording/streaming? would be awesome if one's gaming pc's capabilities were fully available for the game and the game only, no other bloat running otherwise, i already use a multiboot setup to run a custom modified/stripped iso i made using ntlite to reduce microsoft windows 10's bloat to optimize on that regard, but since it is so much laggier than windows 7 was it's still not good enough imo, any extra app running is a noticeable downgrade to me, i'm trying to keep things running as minimally/optimized as possible here within a still somewhat sane budget if all of this is possible and a rare soul reading this knows, please share! would love to know if that's the case, would be very appreciated.

Love your content! It's a huge help. I would love a video on mics for female voices. I've found that the mics that work great for my husband's voice dont work very well for mine.

The beacn still seems like the best option for this simple to use audio market.

Hoping you compare the both software. Is razer software reliable? Cause you mentioned last time razer software is not good..

Why even have the voice effects toggle? It'd be nice if it was hold mute to activate voice effects and have the voice effect last as long as you hold that button. It's a shame that the product itself is better and yet the software drags it down so far.

It looks like the GoXLR mini in form but the GoXLR line has the Midas preamp so it's very hard to compete with at the price. GoXLR mini sounded great, Razer's sounded decent but you said it best when saying "lacking" and with the random pops I can't see this as an alternative. I wouldn't trust Razer's hardware for something this important. It would have to cost

Really love your video's ma dude, but could you please (next time) cut off the music you have in the background. Don't see the reason why i want to hear a music when you are testing the amp/mic

Regardless if it's a sponsored video or not. There should be a link for the product in the description

I know everyone is giving opinions on this but I’m more intrigued by the hoodie 🤣 where did you get it or was it sent to you from youtube?

i JUST bought an entire beacn setup and i have to say after one day i put the goxlr back on the desk. the beacn mic just sounds BAD to me and i can't explain why. almost hollow or metallic sounding to me. i wish the goxlr had a higher output headphone amp and the sub mix, or selectable outputs by holding a button. beacn integrates into the system so much better, shame it sounds bad.

#1 reason to get the Razer over the goxlr mini, customer service support. I had a headphone port stop working on a goxlr a while back. I had to create an account just to open a ticket because calling or emailing wasn't an option. They responded with a tutorial for how to plug in a headphone to a headphone port as if I've never done it before. Then they closed to support ticket and marked it as solved so I couldn't reopen it or reply further. Never did get it resolved. One of the WORST customer service experiences I've ever had. Razer doesn't have a great track record with their software, but I'd deal with it before trying to deal with goxlr support ever again.

Let’s not forget razer synapse and all products are NOT compatible with mac if you use one for either pc. Might change with time as it’s the same as goxlr but there is home brew support for them at least.
