For those wondering, they did actually change how the HP bars work on boss Pokemon so that they don't just get absolutely destroyed by %HP damage like Stealth Rocks and stuff anymore. Salt Cure, hazards, and Leech Seed are still very good, just not to the point of letting you easily switch cheese Ivy's Rayquaza anymore.

i won my first time with corviknight too, except i used hone claws instead of iron defense so i could make power trip even stronger, and i kept pluck to take stat boosting berries. so power trip got to astronomical power, and i got 2 shell bells on him. god bless that metal raven

My guy, I don't know if you know, but Pluck doesn't eat berries yet. Currently it is just a worse Drill Peck. If I'm wrong, I blame the wiki for not being updated, because it might have been implemented without me noticing, since I haven't used a pokemon with pluck in a couple days,

Pawmot unironically carried me through my 195 fight because Ivy was packing Tauros and Pigeot. I forgot I had Pawmot for like 90 floors because I wasn't using him and had no boosts on him. I basically threw him in to die and then he one shot tauros with close combat lol.

I got so lucky with this game. My first shiny was a bidoof, but it was an epic shiny, so +3 luck. But also Simple, and Power Trip egg move, with aqua step as another egg move for him. He truly lives up his his GOD status

I won classic mode with an Unnerve Corviknight on my team, but for me, since I team wasn't as stacked as the one in this vid, the switches, especially on 195, made some of the later battles MUCH harder. Though, my GOAT was my starter: Zamazenta, with a Rusty Shield I picked up late-game. Especially against Eternatus, where my team consisted of (plus a million held items): ZZ, Corviknight, Rhyperior w/ Lightning Rod (so, essentially no ability), Skuntank, Orbeetle, and Electivire, Eternatus seeing OHKOs on everyone but ZZ worked in my favor. So, my legendary just got to whale away on it while it wasted turns. Anyway, major props to AlphaRad for the win here! Congrats!

I won my first time playing (blind!) off the back leech seed and calm mind Alakazam. Eternatus feels less a boss and more a checklist most of the time, which is pretty common for roguelike end games.

Finally just got my first classic mode win. MVP was Magnezone, with Beedrill and Breloom as honorable mentions. Whimsicott was a late addition but really helped with Leech Seed. Garganacl helped with Ivy but dropped to Eternatus. And Linoone was also there, holding my stuff.

I used an amoongus with spore and clear smog (to remove the stat boosts and make him sleep) and torch song skeledirge who had lefties and protect who pretty much single-handedly took that fight. (I also had a breloom with leech seed who died about immediately after seeding so... there was that lol) Primarina w bouncy bubble did absolutely carry most of my run though

You can, go into the browser (i used chrome) and sign in and then press on the three dots in the corner of the browser then do "install game" or something like that and then it becomes an app and you can play it in fullscreen

Oh boy, this is the timeline basically: 1. Sam, the original creator of Pokerogue quits, citing his religion as a part of why, which raises eyebrows 2. Some people in the Pokerogue Discord begin spamming trans positive messages 3. After some arguing in the discord, someone leaks that Sam was actually transphobic (to the surprise of absolutely no one) 4. All hell breaks loose, with some people starting to spam transphobic messages in response to the trans rights spam 5. A bunch of people posting trans rights get banned/muted, but the people spamming nasty transphobic shit get a pass which only adds fuel to the fire 6. The mods of the discord put out some really weird PR statements and assurances that don't go down well, some mods say some really yikes stuff in a misguided attempt to calm people down, like two community managers get demoted, and it's pretty obvious that there's infighting going on behind the scenes. All the public channels are in absolute chaos 7. The drama spreads into twitter and reddit, and the discord server gets locked down entirely. On the Pokerogue subreddit people are mostly disappointed and annoyed, but not up in arms. On Twitter you can take a guess what happened, and the drama gets massively amplified to the point of trending. 8. Some time later, one of the lead artists (who is trans) posted a PR statement on twitter assuring people that Sam's shitty beliefs don't reflect the entire team working on the game, and asked everyone to calm down. It caused the drama to die down a fair bit, but it unfortunately didn't reach enough people. Their twitter handle is phenrex_creates if you wanna read the whole statement 9. You are here, the game is still popular but tainted in the eyes of a lot of people. The staff team is undergoing a pretty major restructure, and the discord is still mostly locked down with just the Q&A and voice channels being open.
