@@blarg2429i thought of a funny design solution: pokedexes now have a premium version locked behind a paywall/in-app purchases (NOT REAL MONEY, in game money) and if u want to learn in game u have to pay up. or they could just do advice through another manner like a puzzle game where u piece together clues, or at least npcs can dispense you Special info if u do something for them or something else. makes evo gimmicks way more accessible

@@blarg2429 Yea, you'd think that at the very least it'd get filled in with the stuff that the player has encountered or something. Would be really cool to see a version where maybe info gets filled into the pokedex as the player sees it, like if you encounter a wild pokemon and it uses a move, now the pokedex has info that that move is in its learnset, or as you use attacks against pokemon it fills in their types whenever you get super effective or ineffective hits. For any pokemon you own, it could even fill out the info up to their current level, and you could have times where you can either get info from the professor or maybe books that will give you the full set of info on certain pokemon.

I think you didn't use one of the strongest if not the strongest thing they give you in this game which is the move tutor in the battle prep stop. It lets you learn all the good moves at any level for a price, and it's helped me massively in my runs. Also let's you buy evo items and held items

Only 5 minutes in, but honestly, the only thing this game seems to be missing imo now is an Underdog mechanics that lets you use unevolved Pokemon without making yourself weaker (By an Underdog Mechanic, I mean something like using an Everstone on an unevolved Pokemon at the Level it would need to be at to evolve, which gives it the stats of its next Evolution, but keeps everything else about the Pokemon. Could be used again for Pokemon that have 2 Evos like the Starters). The mechanic would probably need reined in a bit in some cases though like Nincada taking on the stats of Shedinja (Straight downgrade), and Vigoroth taking on the stats of Slaking (670 BST on a non-legendary Pokemon without any drawbacks is crazy lol)
