I really love what they did with the Ally system. Special abilities are unique for different circumstances, and because each one of them are random, it adds a little bit of an element of surprise to it, making people strategize on the fly. They’re also double edged swords in a way because they double positive and negative effects on the board, and they can be taken from. The Ally mini games are also really fun.

For the minigame with the hammer where Peach had to hide each time, there's a 40% chance that the team of 3 wins according to the binomial distribution. However, the team of 3 can swing it in their favor by stacking all of their votes on the same spot, which is good because it's all or nothing. You either get 0 or 3 hits. The fact that 1 or 2 hits doesn't matter and would mean Peach still wins the game is why you want to go all or nothing like that. Using that strategy, the team has a winning chance of 58% instead. Surprisingly well designed game since regardless everybody gets to participate trying to carry the team, one person could theoretically hit all 3 times and be the sole person to make the team win.
