Quick correction: The Outback actually has a CVT, with an "8-Speed manual shift mode"

As a current Outback owner (2021 Touring XT), I have to say that I quickly got used to where things are on the screen and don’t mind the lack of physical buttons and actually find the screen easier to use than my wife’s car, which has a sea of actual (but similarly sized) buttons on the dash and console. Otherwise, your review is pretty spot on. BTW, the Outback absolutely makes a great Dad-mobile… especially in XT trim which has just enough power to be fun when the kids aren’t onboard. Keep up the great reviews Isaac!

Oh wow you hit the nail on the head. I have a 2020 Onyx XT and the power is nice and really gets you through sticky situations in traffic. I just can’t see ever buying anything other than a Subaru. This is my second Outback by the way.

One thing that you did not mention is by pressing the talk button on the steering wheel, you can verbally set the temperature and the fan speed.

Great review on the su-bee! I’m really surprised that it doesn’t come with the 360 camera system. Be blessed and keep the reviews coming. I really look forward to your reviews.

I had a 2019 Forester for a few years, great car. I have a 2002 Impreza WRX now as a secondary car now, and I love it. AWD on both are amazing, they dominate in the snow.

I own the 2025 Outback. Use voice commands to set or change climate settings while driving. No need to do that by touching screen to go to menus for that.

Great review. We have the same model but in dark mahogany. Solid, well built vehicle that handles anything Mother Nature can throw at it. We are north of the border in British Columbia and the car is a joy to drive whether travelling through the mountains or at highway speeds.

I've got a 23 Limited 2.5 in Dark Mahogany... Absolutely love that color! Very happy with this car.

How do you feel the about the climate controls in the infotainment?
@minnybiker4505Ай бұрын
@AlphaShark I really like it. It allows you to change the temp from your phone when remote starting it on a super hot or cold day.... Plus, from inside when driving, It's set at a temp I like, it's on auto. I almost never change it. Defrost /defog functions have their own buttons, as well as hotter/colder. The only problem with the system is it's very slow while it's booting up. But after that first minute, I love it... I like how Android Auto and Apple Carplay both look and function, I love that it's not a billboard sitting on top of the dash, it's well integrated and within reach... I love it.

@@minnybiker4505 Thank you, it's inciteful to hear from a real owner.

Love the Dark Mahogany. My favorite color by far. Only wish it was available with the brown interior. I’m torn; my wife’s one big criteria is the dark brown, so I think we’ll go with the Autumn Mist color (shown here). But I smile every time I see the Dark Mahogany in the wild…

Good review, but you didn't show too much of the vehicle package, such as the sunroof.

Really appreciate your time at the end, discussing the potential problems with the info-screen. We have always taken our eyes off the road for a “split-second” but the screen requires so much more... Also, so much time needs to be spent on the review covering its functions, that other things like turning radius, etc, etc, are skipped. Started to type this comment while still listening to the end-thank you for your testimony and commitment--God be with you!
@AlphaSharkАй бұрын
Well I don’t normally discuss things like turning radius, but that’s good for the future!

I really like my 2025 Subaru outback Limited non-turbo. They are really great cars. I bought that for my wife and I’m driving A 2012 Subaru Forrester and still a great vehicle the quality is top-notch

I bought a new 2025 outback limited as well as a new 2024 Crosstrek sport, so far so good.

I think you can control climate control with voice commands;)
@AlphaSharkАй бұрын
Even still that’s fairly complicated

Key points: 1) Relatively comfortable ride 2) Overly heavy steering. 3) Headlights that will blind all oncoming traffic and have people constantly flashing brights at you. 4) TERRIBLE infotainment system-- laggy, and devoid of nearly all physical buttons --- ironic for a company "obsessed with safety" There are better cars out there.

Poster might be Honda salesman. Surprised he didn't mention head-gasket issues that are non existent in model after 2011

The turbo is in the xt and wilderness trims only.

You mistakenly quoted the EPA mpg numbers for the non-turbo/non XT 2.5 4 cylinder engine. The turbo mpg is less.

Excellent point re the eyesight and screen buttons - very DUMB of you Subaru, for a company that 'says' they're focused on safety. Stupid, stupid design and idiot beeps that distract. Such a shame on such an otherwise superlative car. First time I've seen an AlphShark vid - very well done and great presentation, keep up the good work. Cheers from Sydney Australia.

POS . head gasket and engine gasket problems, carbon build up, cvt issues , high maintenance cost , bad mpg, uncomfortable front seats and weak engines in most models. Turbo engines don't last.

Often people will comment without owning the vehicle and I’m a little confused at why. But maybe this guy does, idk 🤷♂️
