Its a great-sounding car from the hypercar class ! I thought I had a very Porsche flat 6 sounding profile when I heard it at the WEC Lone Star Lemans Last Year. I love the absolute symphony of turbo sounds this car produces !!

Hope it will be one of many as it used to be 🤞 Regarding the binaural videos, I'm currently working on a custom build binaural microphone that fits all my needs, mainly in terms of noise tolerance and portability which was something the 3Dio I was using had but was lacking in the first. And there isn't much on the market other than spending senseless amounts of money. So yes, if I manage to put it together quickly then I'll definitely have to test it. The idea is to produce other similar binaural videos ;D

Been subscribed to you for at least a decade at this point. It's honestly criminal no official motorsport coverage offers this kind of detailed audio recordings at some moments, I'd even say it's criminal none of them have hired you (afaik) to record audio for broadcast! Keep it up nonetheless though

I could litteraly feel your happiness about having the whole royal park of Monza back to yourself :) What a great video as always :D I was lucky enough to hear the Alpine and F2 in person. So they are sounding nearly identical. The Alpine sounds a nuance more "full" (probably due to the longer 2 way exhaust) which I even prefer. And the loud pops on the upshifts are completely gone, which I prefer as well. I mean the pops are highly entertaining during an F2 start, but apart from that, they are annoying for me :D But all in all it is the most unique and nicest sounding V6 in WEC for me. Cant wait for Imola, where I will be finally back at the track :)

Cool explanation and thanks for your feedback, mate! I've always and only heard the turbocharged F2s from videos here on KZbin. So I already had an idea of ​​how that Mecachrome sounded and comparing it with the nice videos of the A424 that were already circulating on the net I noticed the differences you listed. I kinda love the 'pops & bangs' stuffs, to be fair, but only when it comes to very few cars driving alone on track (similar to this test). I still remember when Formula Renault 3.5 cars had the popping upshifts. Truly loved them when just a single car was in the frame, but those gear changes became quite annoying when the entire grid was on track

In imsa you have the acura which has the same signatech chassis and runs with a similar v6 bi turbo engine by honda and alpine engine by Renault 3.5 v6 from formule 2

Fantastic video Bozzy! After the Cadillac and Aston Martin, the Alpine is definitely my third favourite sounding car. The turbo flutter and that low bellowing growl that mechronome V6 produces is simply a match made in heaven! 😍 Are you hoping to go to Imola this year for the 6 hours for a video?? :)

Thanks, buddy! It was definitely a car I would have liked to film completely alone on track since that Mecachrome has a truly interesting tone. Don't really know where I'd place on my personal favorite sounding LMDh/LMH cars but it's definitely in a good spot 😉Still don't know if I'll attend the WEC round in Imola, it'll be a last minute decision

It’s very competitive. First year of racing, it ended up on the podium in Fuji. Quick car, but the engine is iffy

What issues do you refer to? It had a very positive trajectory last season and became very competitive towards the end of the season, getting a podium in the penultimate round. So based on that trend it should be fighting at the top this season, at least in some races.

Well, if the issues you're referring to are those two lockups when braking and the spin, those were all shot of the first flying lap the car/driver was doing of a specific stint. Without tyre blankets and low track temperatures it doesn't seem like anything too worrying

Temperatures were a little above average for the time of year in the last few days: 2-4°C early in the morning and peaks of 12°C in the afternoon. Certainly not very hot, but 10 years ago it was unthinkable to test at the beginning of February in Monza. The clips you see here are from different times of the day. I took the first three shots at around 9.15 am. Then the following exit from the pits (at 1:09) was at 4.30 pm, for example
