For me, snake boots would be a must, down in that area!!😬😬 I'm also afraid of lightning, after being hit by a partial bolt as a kid, while standing next to water that had leaked into our basement, during a thunderstorm, when lightning hit the side of our house, & the electricity followed the rain water, popped into the top of my left foot, & out my right elbow. 😳😬😬😬😬😬!!

Looks like your release hand is coming off the string to the right, this will cause the arrow to miss to the right. Invision your elbow and your wrist pulling straight back inline with the shot. You may be putting a little face pressure against your release causing it to torque to one side. Nice work on the video!

I got 2 does last weekend on opening day and this week, so I thought I'd take it easy until regular season. Then a monster 10 pointer crossed in front of me at about 10 yards followed by a nice 8 pointer on their way towards my spot and the next thought that went through my head was, "Opening Day for bow season is in 2 weeks!". It never ends. Yep, I'll be out there to try to put one of these bucks on the ground. It looks like another Hundred Day Hunting Season for me. Good luck and get that buck!

I got hit with Poison Sumac while sitting on a stump once. NO LIE...I had does walking right by me and brushing up against me! LOL It was pure dark out there (I only ground hunt). There was a little brush next to me that I kept moving out of my way then scratching my neck and arms. Turned out to be sumac. I paid for it bad, but I learned.

I can relate a lot to this video, Allie. I start deer hunting last year, was successful but moved away. So this year I’ve been searching for permission (unsuccessfully), so now scouting public. It’s very stressful but pretty cool to do it all alone. And hopefully lessons learned even if I don’t punch my tag this fall. That's what it's all about we used to call it putting our feelers out and I happen to love the lightning in Florida it's so flat there that it's beautiful to catch on film and I've seen a lot of big deer come out of swamp land and usually they're not the regular color they blend with the swamp 👍🐝

I hunted Florida for 30 years and never came across a snake while hunting but the crazy thing is snakes are a hobby of mine so I really think they just avoid me but if you don't like snakes they will be everywhere.I see some guys on some of these channels running around barefoot trying to be a bad ass and I left a comment like man come on we know your tough and you can walk barefoot but you can't see a baby cottonmouth or copperhead in leaves and it's not worth the trouble just to be barefoot, I don't they were raised in FL like us.

Was almost bit yesterday by eastern diamond back right by truck. Was adjusting gear and heard rattle. Looked behind me about 10 yards away snake was ready to strike. I always wear snake boots. We also saw a juvenile cotton mouth.

I read somewhere that starting a tree from the seed of a supermarket fruit results in about a 1 in 1000 chance of getting a good tasting fruit. Fruit trees should be grown from a sprig/shoot of a known good tasting tree. Not sure if that holds for mangos. It looks like it is going to be a real challenge getting the deer out of there based on your path in.

What part of Fla did ya'll move to me in cen fl by the cape, born an raised here, by 3 generations. Alot to learn here, different critters, bugs, snakes, food sources for the deer an other critters, but it very diverse to say the least. Everyone's giving you advice on wearing snake boots. I have had several close calls with rattlesnakes here in Utah and luckily have not been bitten. I bought some knee high Cabella snake boots, they work great haven't seen one snake since buying them.😁

Allie Not sure if you used trail cameras in the past but I would have placed one 20 yards from were you saw him go in. Not sure how often you have time to hunt but I would be back in there the next morning or as soon as I could. Seeing he was alone an not in a bachelor group he could live within 500 acres of that area. Can you bait in Florida? It can be very effective if legal not sure how you feel about baiting. Hey so I live and have bowhunted Florida for the past 10 or so years, what is your general areas ? Also, like a lot of people said, you realy want to invest in some actual snake boots, muck boots won’t stop a mature rattlesnake, moccasin, or a cottonmouth, which are all very common in those tall CRP type grass areas, especially along the swamp lines that you are focusing on. But yes, for hunting Florida you pretty much want to sit over water, especially after the dry season we have had. It may be so buggy you need multiple thermacell units, but you’ll see mature deer
