Everyone just to let you guys know I made a error in the video where I misspelled the name of one of the presidents which was Rómulo Betancourt and I accidentally misspelled his last name with “Belancourt” instead of “Betancourt” however since I’m lazy to start this all over again and I worked so hard for it I’m just putting this warning to let you guys know and I would apologize for that.

No country has ever been called “great” or “gran” one says gran colombia to differentiate it from modern colombia, the term came from the patria grande movement, were bolivar wanted to unite all the americas under the name colombia, the furthest he went was to unite nueva granada and venezuela, then venezuela and ecuador left so only modern colombia was left and stuck with that name. If gran Colombia was still around it would only be called colombia
