Alternating Finger to Nose Coordination Testing with an Adult with Athetoid Cerebral Palsy

Coordination allows us to perform smooth, accurate, controlled movements in our daily lives. There are a variety of tests that allow a clinician to document coordination and control. I like reporting a client's skills to show progress in motor control and coordination over time. In some cases, coordination testing is used to show the effects of injury (or not) with sports and other times after neurological insults. Jessica Kent is an adult with athetoid cerebral palsy without spasticity. I want to thank her for allowing me to test her with these coordination tests. She was an exceptionally good sport with these challenges highlighting her movement deficits. In this playlist, we perform various upper- and lower-body coordination tests. In the upper body, the tests focus both proximally and then more distally.
