Your soup looks delicious. I love to cook and use what I have even if my husband thinks he won't like it 😂 most of the time he does

Oooo those California grills (in your intro!). Ooo I never heard of a Shabuki pot. That’s nice for the RV
@VanLifeVoyages8 ай бұрын
Yes that's a Santa Maria grill. Custom made for my husband's wheelchair . I use my Shabuki pot to boil water for my coffee when in the van daily too. Thanks for watching 😊

Love the bluetti demo, too! I’ve been wondering about it. P.s., i have some extra ground beef already cooked off! I’ll be using my instant pot, prolly some spinach but not cilantro (gives me soap feels😢) Serendipitous finding your channel today! Woot woot! ❤❤❤

It's funny how some people's have the gene to dislike cilantro. I pretty much always have ground beef meal prepped as well.

Looks tasty, and having 250W/600W choices lets you use it with more inverters and power stations. Around Black Friday, I finally gave in and bought an electric cooker for car camping. I got a little "5 cup dry, 10 cup cooked" (but that is 5x 6oz Asian rice cups, not 8oz US cups) rice cooker with stainless removable pot. It is 375W and I stole it for $22. I decided to try it as a poor-man's version of your setup, and if it's only good for rice and heating water, I'm fine with that, also. Then I won a $15 Amazon gift card on Dee's live stream, and found the 3qt Instant Pot on sale for $50 the next day, so got that too. It is 700W. My power station is only 300W, and my little car inverter is only 300W, but I fixed that problem by buying a 2000W pure sine wave Redodo inverter on Black Friday for $140. I love doing most of my year's gadget shopping at steal prices around the holiday season. So, we'll be seeing what different sorts of cooking I do on my next Prius trip. I'll be practicing cooking in them at home before deciding which one to take on the road, or both.

It's cool that you got so many good deals on Black Friday. I have to be careful of power usage with appliances not necessarily for the inverter (the inverter on the van's house battery system is 1200watts) but because I don't have lithium house batteries & only have 200 amp hour battery storage which is pretty much dedicated to my fridge. That's where the Bluetti backup power station comes in. I only have a 100w panel on the roof but also have a 200w portable solar panel. So, for me, I can't have anything that uses a bunch of power because in winter, it can be difficult to recharge everything when boondocking. And I mostly boondock where I don't leave for at least a week. But what I live about this community is how different everyone's setups are & how we learn from each other!

That's a nifty little cook pot. I would consider buying one if I didn't already have a mini Instant Pot, though I don't like that there's no inner pot that can be taken out and washed. I would cook the carrots and onion with the ground beef to get them cooked through more, instead of adding them after the beef was done. I've never had avocado in a soup. Sounds interesting! I do love guacamole. 🤗 Yep, soup is good all year. I personally don't really like to eat it when I'm dying of heat, though. Lol. It's one of the easiest things to make if you're a good cook with common sense in the kitchen. It's all about the spices and quality ingredients, IMO.

Yes, I should have put the carrot in first & the only reason I used the Lipton Soup packet is to show others who aren't typically good cooks how easy it can be. I typically use a bunch of seasonings & never measure anything which makes it difficult to show people on a video. They want measurements & that isn't the way I cook. I'm a dumper & taster rarely following recipes. Yes, having a pot to remove would be good. I, however, like how it doesn't use much power. I'm not sure that I could use an Instapot on the road. I think it may use too much power. I have to conserve my power especially in the winter without lots of solar to replenish my batteries. But I do need to see how much power a small Instapot would use. 🤔

@@VanLifeVoyages My little IP takes less than 1000w. And it doesn't run at that power level the whole time. I can use it on my two bigger power stations.

For one. Lol. That pot holds enough for at least 3 maybe 4. .. i live in a house. But we do camp. That soup i would make. But would make my own soup base. The package have (gluten ) which i have to stay away from . Dang girl you made me hungry 😊
@VanLifeVoyages10 ай бұрын
Yes I eat it for a few days. The pot is actually made for a house not camping. It is marketed as a way to cook or re-heat your lunch easily at work, etc. I love it. It heats water quickly even on low.
