Mario Tennis Aces is like the most alternative of alternative fighting games. You have actual Meter that can be used for offensive or defensive abilities, and a lot of the mental game is maintaining a meter advantage over your opponent. If you get a good read on them, you can fully charge a shot which pushes them back and makes it easier to chain charge shots on them for combos that build meter. And your opponent can combo break you by responding with the type of shot that counteracts yours, in a sort of rock-paper-scissors interaction. Having enough of a meter lead means you can leave your opponent with poor defenses against your metered shots which, if not intercepted perfectly, damages their racquet through a literal health bar, giving you a secondary way to win a match other than through points.

I was summonned by the sound of Melty Blood OST. Edit: Also, if you like Melty Blood, you should try out Arcana Heart. Instead of the moon system, they use different Arcanas, each one has it's own moveset and can change some properties of your movements, playstyle or even the way you move. It also has universal homing dash on top of two jumps + Air Dash (IIRC), making it's air game even crazier. Great game, will probably get you demonetized and on FBI watchlist, but totally worth it.

Lol, i might check it out. Although I've never been a fan of homing dash. Gives me DBFZ super dash PTSD. Or worse, the OG ultimate naruto games for the PS2. *shivers*

@@ItsNotGoodShow There is more counterplay to dash, and it is very slow if you can't use it correctly. It is like proto-DBFZ super dash, but way better.

"Just listen to this" Yeah it sounds like the most generic and speaker in a blender electro-industrial song you could have possibly picked from the soundtrack. Not the song I would have picked to showcase the soundtrack. Another problem is you basically have 3 honorable mention sections (The not quites, the actual honorable mentions, and Smash) at the start of your video, and it takes over half the video to get to the point. That's a massive scripting oversight, and the first "honorable mentions" portion should have just been cut entirely. It's just fighting games. For a more positive note, the selections you did make for the actual meat of the video makes sense and I feel it's spot on, basically exactly what I was expecting.

Music taste is subjective, but i actually agree with your other criticisms. If i had to do it all over again, I'd replace the first section with just a more in depth look at lethal league.
