@michaelfski I picked up an Alt one last summer. Only have a few flights on it, but I love it. I've used it on my model helicopter and if the wind doesn't die down soon, it's going up on a new kite. Plenty of room for both in your arsenal! But yes..... I understand how you feel. It's great to see the passion that Apogee have for model rocketry, and them innovating and coming out with newer products is great.

I was quite excited about the product until near the end when you said that the product picks up when there's a sustained G acceleration. Well that doesn't sound good. That means that there is a delay before the Altimeter begins recording...unless it picks up just a handful of milliseconds after take-off. Also, what if you lightly throw the Altimeter straight in the air, will the sensors get tripped? Lastly, what is the total time that the Altimeter lasts on a single full charge? Thanks.
