Actually I'm using all of them, the C tenor clef, the C alto clef, the C mezzo soprano clef and the C soprano clef...it is interesting understanding how to read them all. Also I have other 6 clefs and some of them are readed in the second and third line too, like the C clef does it. Thank you for this video! Greetings from Tijuana!

Can you explain what’s the point of having both the alto clef and tenor clef when they are just two notes apart?
@MusicMattersGB2 ай бұрын
It’s amazing how much of a difference it makes. The Viola, for example, sits very comfortably in the Alto clef but ends up using ledger lines frequently if placed in the Tenor clef.

Thanks for going through it slowly. Still find it hard though to understand that the C in the alto clef is middle C and the fourth line on the tenor clef. Would be hard to transpose into these clef.

How do I adapt a Tenor Saxophone to Tenor Clef? Is Middle C here Middle C in Concert Pitch. I want to play 'The Swan on Tenor Saxophone, please?
@MusicMattersGB2 жыл бұрын
The Tenor Sax doesn’t usually read in Tenor Clef. However it is a transposing instrument. Because it’s in Bb you’ll need to transpose all the notes up a tone/ whole step.

I would imagine that an Alto saxophone would use Alto clef, and tenor sax would use tenor clef.
@MusicMattersGB4 жыл бұрын
That would seem logical but no they don’t.
