A water ride themed to a creepy river through the Dark Forest to replace Rita would be cool. Or otherwise using the water ride within the Dungeon as you mentioned and making more of it, with the Dungeon leaving.

I’ve got one from Oakwood (Megafobia), 5 from BPB (all Arrow), and one Vekoma wheel. S&S sell Arrow wheels on their website but shipping to the UK isn’t cheap.

They could replace Spinball with a Vekoma Junior Coaster similar to Tami Tami at PortAventura or a Mack Rides Youngstar similar to Pegasus at Europa Park. It would be a great step up coaster from Octonauts and would fit in perfectly.

I think these are all really valid points and additions I'd also personally like to see. Hopefully, Alton Towers realise their collection of bigger coasters doesn't need expanding but maintaining in size. It's the other offerings, dark rides, water rides, family rides, that we need more of!

Totally get all the ideas you suggest & everyone will have different ideas. For me first thing towers needs & is seriously lacking is 1 or 2 thrill flat rides, a good quality intemin giro & huss breakdance would be ideal. Regarding the cbeebies expansion i agree & maybe a zamperla nebula would be a good fit as well as a coaster. Dungeon should be converted to a in & out water flume ride with a good theme. It will be a time for Rita to go as most now are lsm. For me i am hoping to see more of the new gen vekoma like lech coaster & f.l.y. coming to this country.

Yeah, if they retheme some of their good flat rides in terms of like the actual ride part to their areas, and add some new ones in, their flat ride collection could be up there with Thorpe, Chessington or Drayton

The Flume was extremely popular and always held a queue even with high capacity. When I worked on it, we rarely had a queue under 45 mins at ride close.

I think they could do with an RMC Raptor, a custom one which goes through the terrain. Also, with Rita, it could do with the new soft restraints like on Maverick & Storm Runner

Good video. Agree with the requirement of a new floom. Agreed with battle galleons. Get gone. Disagree with you with you on space. There’s plenty. Agree with Rita and galactica. As much as I quite like both of them, the new technology that all companies have these days would simply transform those areas with ease. Phalanx themed double launch the stuff of wet dreams. Surprised you didn’t mention the RMC hype from yesterday. Agreed on replacing the dungeons. As much as I enjoy it. Get rid. Take Rita out and build through the trees and down into the gardens. There’s loads of space but not all of it can be used due to restrictions, shocked they never hushed the locals with big payouts in the 90s to be honest. I am saving the RMC chat for now, being completely honest I filmed this last week but then got ill and spent a few days away from my laptop so only just got to the edit yesterday. I didn’t care for family rides before we had Charlie, now I see the benefit of them but I don’t think Towers should completely ignore thrill seekers.

@@yourexperienceguide nothing stopping them paying them now 🤣🤣 must be the odd path they can get rid of too. There will be ways of making it work. RMC chat is amazing and shows the power that Alton Towers holds within the community. One small hint of it and all the project exodus chat at Thorpe disappears. If Alton smash the nemesis re-opening, deliver an RMC and either replace rides for ground breaking new ones or even add to the line up we’re talking one of the best parks in the world. As long as the food changes of course 🤣🤣

Great video & I Definitely agree Scott. With number 5 I’d like to see like you say a new coaster aimed at Cbeebies market and something like the new intamin lift and launch coaster although Drayton has one coming. Or a tamer version of a gerst bobsled. In the interim for the rapids, just put more pipes and things in the trough to toughen the waters up, but I’d like to see long term an overhaul remove/ replace rapids ride. I’d like to see the whole area of the burger kitchen-Dungeons rethemed and brought into the theme park immersion, like you say bring a world class dark ride in to that area to really compliment horizon. Great suggestions Scott!

Id love a multi launch, but where Galactica is isn't it. Taron isn't short. It's a similar height to The Smiler and that area has maybe a 20m height limit. That's nothing for a multi launch

Why can't all of the areas be any thrill level? Especially with all of the areas being so far apart, you could have a 5 year old who want to stay in Cbeebies land, and a 14 year old who wants to go to X-Sector and Forbidden Valley, the family's going to have to split up, and most families wouldn't want that.

Interesting thoughts. What I will say it seems to me that AT do a decade where there is a focus on something. With the last 10 years it felt like the focus was on the coasters and the SW since we had one in 2010, 2013 and 2018 so three in one decade. With the amount of dark rides that they have invested in so far I think the current future is less on their coasters and more establishing new dark rides (which I think is needed given how temperate and unpredictable the weather is in the UK and I am unsure if they will invest in a log flum). Personally I think there ought to be more of a focus on flats as the park have seen how much the Retrosquad has filled up queues and I think permanent ones would enhance the park (think a bit like with Ripsaw on how that complimented FV). I'm unsure as of yet if they will get rid of Galactica as there are rumours swirling that its getting a refresh so I wonder why AT would invest money into a Galactica refresh if it wasn't staying.

Once they have done the project and build on nemesis there is in place a indoor build rollercoaster! So they are updating Alton Towers but they can't afford to get rid of rides to build another as they will loose there profit and income and nd visitors as people travel to ride those rides. But I Do agree with a water ride as river rapids just isn't enough nd updating galactica as what's the point in keeping that name getting rid of the Goggles. Just takes hole themeing . Nd I do agree with removing spinball..wen I went on it it felt soo unsafe nd not that best anymoress :( All in all great chat blog nd Alton Towers is deffenetely willing to improve for us 😊🙏🏻🤞🏻✨️xx

Great video! Alton Towers doesn't have as many elite coasters/rides that other leading European parks do (think PortAventura, Liseberg, Walibi Holland, Europa Park, Energylandia and Parc Asterix and you will realise that they all have at least one of Europe's best coasters/rides) and this is one thing Towers needs to improve on in the future. Curse at Alton Manor was the 1st step, but now they need to take further steps, which they may be doing with Project Horizon!

I pretty much agree with this. As much as I don’t like to admit it Galactica has the best site to work with, Spinball Whizzer is tired & in the way of CBeebies land really & Rita is getting old I still stand by my previous comment that replacing Rita but leaving thirteen standing is probably more hassle than it’s worth. They would have to close thirteen for a year & would people lose interest in it in that time. If horizon is multidimensional would it be better to replace Rita & 13 with one large coaster, that way they have plenty of space without expanding the area which they’d never get permission for I also agree with the rapids. People say replace with a coaster but it’s a theme park not amusement, they have to balance rides & not just focus on coasters

Not battle galleons. Great entertainment in the summer and a warm day. Spent many an hour there blasting people that are new to the park and don't know how wet they can get. They love it. Only issue is the park has let the ride go to rot and you have to pay for the pay guns. Only one useable, freebie ones left, on the sides. Due to them letting it go to rot, they will get rid of it though.

I think the AT Dungeon and Rita will be the first to go. I'd miss Galactica, but probably not for long should it be replaced with something similar to Toutatis. 🙂 I actually enjoyed Battle Galleons, but it was a hot day and we were able to dry out afterwards.

All of these are great suggestions but there is an even bigger issue at Alton Towers FLAT RIDES Alton Towers seriously lacks Flat rides after losing Ripsaw Submissuon Enterprise Twirling Toadstool and more and Towers thinks it’s ok replacing them with funfair rides, they did serve there purpose of some extra capacity and cheap installations during COVID time but 3 years later and still having funfair rides Alongside world class coasters really doesn’t fit and rides Like The Blade and Marauder’s Mayhem are getting quite old Alton towers really needs some permanent flat rides to replace the retro squad and possibly The Blade they wiuld have to be careful with the height but something like and Intamin Gyro Swing or Zierer starshape with a little digging to fit them if needed also Hex needs really sorting out either getting it open again and replacing it and they should also restore access to the Towers ruins and Ladyship gardens it’s been bordered off all season. The last issue is across the Merlin parks the food quality and pricing it really not good compared to its uk or European counterparts teaming up with Aramark was not a good deacon and the food needs improving in terms of quality or reducing the pricing as many people are not wanting to pay it and bringing lunch boxes and picnics

Totally agree with removing Galactica it's old and not the best anymore. They could theme a blitz coaster into forbidden valley. Air was good when it was new but it is plagued with downtime. More permanent flats are needed!!! Rita should go again it's expensive to run. Top video
