This is probably going to sound nuts to people. The music playing during the Wicker Man queue part, sounds like Mariah Carey high notes were lifted from her songs, altered and blended into the music. Anyway, I envy you guys overseas. I've learned that American parks have nothing on UK parks in terms of theming and unique ride experiences. I own these new insights to this very channel. It's become must see "tv" for me. When I see they latest vlog posted, I don't hesitate to click.

Astro Wiz I love the fact that it’s not so IP heavy. Too much stuff is attached to IP’s here in America. I know there’s lots of that going on overseas, but it doesn’t seem anywhere near as big as here. Are there dark rides here in America that aren’t attached to IP’s? I’m talking the big parks, not fairs and boardwalks. Very few, I bet. I know about Soarin’. And if I’m wrong, please enlighten me. I’m mainly seeing Marvel and Star Wars taking over. When I see stuff like Disney’s Hollywood Studios compared to what they have overseas, I envy our overseas brothers and sisters! I forget which vlog it was (I’m almost positive it wasn’t a UK park), but I remember seeing a log flume (or it could have been a dark ride) that had people nude as part of the ride. No superhero’s. No fairytales. It was interesting to see. I’ve been exposed to some of the most bizarrely, awesome stuff, thanks to this vlog. As a California native, it’s refreshing! I had to edit because of a thought. I can’t imagine a major park here in America getting a Popcorns Revenge (I’m so tired of seeing that Buzzlightyear laser ride thing).

I as with two friends (One can be seen in front of me, tall and in a blue t-shirt) We sprinted there as soon as the gates opened. I haven't been to Alton Towers since they took out The Flume. I'm sure Wicker Man is a great ride but it will never be the same. sigh. It was just after Magic Mountain took out Log Jammer to put in Full Throttle! RIP classic flume rides.

the flume was my favourite ride there when i went the first time. i just found the giant ducks and the concept of riding in a bath tub hilarious. i went again for my birthday back in june 2019 and i didnt realise the flume had been replaced. i was on the brink of tears ngl

I did Rita in the rain. Not recommended, unless you want to be pummeled by bullets. I also got REALLY lucky with Nemesis. When we got in the queue, the ride closed temporarily, which turned out to be the addition of a new train, and thus the queue time halved. Then, just when we got off the ride, it closed for good and didn't open for the rest of the day.

Also, don't ride Oblivion in the rain, pelted by sharp rain bullets like you said, but hurts more than Rita cuz oblivion is faster at the drop point

Love an Alton towers vlog. A great ride I feel that doesn't need warming up is Gold Striker at California's Great America. Been on it during the morning and it whips around, also RailBlazer single rail coaster is amazing. Rumors are a B&M hyper coaster at 210ft is coming in 2020 maybe. Other coasters and rides as well, definitely worth visiting. Always love all the videos. Thank you.

I’ll always remember my first scarefest. Nemesis was my first upside down rollercoaster. I thought ‘if I can do Nemesis, I can do smiler’ so we queued up for smiler for over an hour and I was about 5 minutes from getting on and we were in the station and I had an absolutely HUGE panic attack and nearly fainted. All the while, my boyfriend, who wouldn’t be caught on a rollercoaster in a million years, was messaging me saying ‘it’s not making it round the loops! It’s so slow!’ Which didn’t help. So in the end I didn’t go on it. Sad times :(

I went to Alton Towers yesterday and saw Lee! He was working on the sky ride and I looked at him and knew I recognised his face from somewhere. My friends has no idea what I was talking about tho.

If the whole of Cloud Cuckoo Land is being refurbished, then my theory is that they have closed off House of Monsters to work on it now and then they'll close Cloud Cuckoo Land off (both entrances) at the end of the summer, then work on it till opening weekend and announce it all in the winter. Great vlog as always 😊

Never liked the Smilers theme, looks cheap compared to other rides in the park ( A retheme could get rid of the negative thoughts towards the ride with its history from the press and public ). They should change the restraints to lap bars and retheme to 'Stranger Things', the 'Marmaliser' would become the 'Mind Flayer', the station becomes Hawkins National Laboratory and could possibly call the ride 'The Upside Down' ( or something more creative ) with a back story about fighting the Mind Flayer trying to escape the upside down.

@@keepsmilinglittlemax1244 Most people like the theme, it's just the actual theming is pretty cheap compared to Thirteen or Wicker Man. The Marmaliser still looks amazing though.

I've not long ridden Hangtime at Knott's Berry farm, and can I just say WOW. The lap bars are incredible! As with lap bars on any ride, it removes the possibility for head banging, but also makes it feel more free and just a million times better in my opinion. Unfortunately the 2015 Smiler crash has completely killed any chance of it receiving a lap bar upgrade, it wouldn't take a genius to figure that out :(
