owl city's songs are like waking on the beach at night and you can see your breath in the air but you aren't too cold and you can say the northern lights and see fireflies in the distance and the stars look beautiful. These perfect moments all combined into one song.

Ava Isandali People should never live life as if it were a burden... the universe echo's in our heart and gives us each individual perspective of what we know. How we feel.. what we feel.. it will only ever happen once, and we are the only one's that can explore the wonders of that unique experience... when you smile, smile for those who can't, smile for the universe... smile for yourself. You're not alone. I'd rather waltz than just walk through the forest.. the tree's keep the tempo and they sway in time. Quartet of crickets chime in for the chorus.. if I were to pluck on your heart strings, would you strum on mine? A new leaf turns over unwilling to fall..

Alright everyone I have a story. So, when I was in fourth grade I had to go to a different school because of the G.A.T.E program. None of my friends were going to that school. I had a really hard time making friends. I hated being alive then because I was really lonely. My parents weren't much help since they both think education is more important. Then, I stumbled across Owl City and this song. I learned the lyrics and whenever I was lonely, sad, or upset I would go over to this tree in the really far corner of the playground and sing this song to myself there. I did the same thing for fifth grade even when I had made some friends.That tree and this song got me through some really hard times. So thank you Owl City.

Yoog-chan- That’s a wonderful story. Owl City is really nostalgic and helped me a lot too. My parents used to fight all the time and his songs were one of the only CDs we had that helped. Now when I listen to them it just makes me remember the old days.

Owl City's music is timeless. Listen to it in 2009, in 2017, or whenever, it's still good music. I hope years and years from now people still listen to him.

When I listen to this, I don't only see a run-down house with clovers and flowers growing from between the floorboards. I also see someone reaching out, beckoning, asking the one listening for a friend. I can see them saying they want life and color to surround them so they aren't alone.

Geeze Adam as a CP? No way. He'd never brutally murder someone. He's about as violent as Fluttershy. (Sorry to go all Pegasister here but seriously this song makes me think of Fluttershy)
@bonedoggle9 жыл бұрын
mack salazar The most violent I've ever heard in his songs is "Oh, bravely I fought off the monsters beneath her bed" and most of Wolf Bite, Dementia's mostly metaphorical so that doesn't count. Adam is a sweet, kind, and cheerful person. Trying to compare this to Creepypasta kind of ruins the song for me.

Religion shouldn't interfere with music taste. :') (I'm an atheist, too.) @Xiper StarChild, Owl City is a devout christian who makes that clear with the lyrics of a lot of his songs [e.g. Galaxies, Angels], which is why they made that comment. Many people of different religions listen and enjoy his music, though.

(I'm a bit late) but I get what he means. I usually say "I'd rather" if it's something I 'wish' I could or choose to do even when I know I can't or if it's hard to do. It's a hopeful thing, really. I think this says a lot about Adam and his hesitance in doing something you wish you could do without anyone judging you.
