Alu-Cab Khaya Slide-In Truck Camper Walk Through Tour

While visiting OK 4WD in Stewartsville New Jersey for their trucks and coffee quarterly event, I walked into the Alu-Cab Khaya slide in truck camper and immediately fell in love. I have a 60 year old avion c11 truck camper. Made of aluminum, just like an airstream. Its gonna outlive all of us. Why cant they make something like that today? The tent part will need replacing every 5 to 10 years

Patrick when your were doing the tour if the outside of the Alu cab ,you showed what you believed to be the gas bottle storage was,you showed the vent in the top of the door is it also vented at the bottom as its heavier than air.I do enjoy your tours,they arecwell filmed and you find out about the things first so you can be very knowledgeable about them all .Keep them coming

36k out of your mind! Not to mention the stress on the truck suspension. You're maxing out the tacoma load capacity after passengers and luggage.

For 36k, Why diesel heater when you have a propane tank? A Propex heater would have taken less space than that whole diesel contraption. Also diesel stinks, and dealing with extra cans of diesel is extremely inconvenient.

Those diesel heaters are extremely efficient. My esoar burns 0.9 gallons in 24 hours at full blast. It will roast us out of our giant sprinter van camper.

I think I only have one complaint (maybe two if you count the price tag 😂) seems like it would be difficult/awkward to fill the diesel tank for the heater, especially when this unit is up higher in a lifted truck. At a minimum tilt the filler neck 45 to make it easier. Other than that this is a really cool unit. Hard to believe it weighs 1000lbs empty hopefully it’s not too heavy for a small pickup by the time all the gear and supplies are loaded. Do you know if it’s stable enough on the jacks to camp in? I’m thinking I’d like to park it in a camp spot then go wheeling in my 2011 Ranger. Thanks for the walk around.

Visit bharatiya flooding toilet seat fixing on wall. Fix it on any side and put folding shower tent stand on top,hide it with side sliding cover. Put only stand for shower tent , people will fix it when ever needed. Jay bharat.

I have one request, give sit belt system to disel tank. With jerk disel tank can be shaken. It's very dangerous. Keep electronic connection away from disel tank. Another suggestion for propen gas......give holes system to storage cabinet of propen tank, Any leakage of propen will not enter inside van. Gas will escape through holes. One woman made vedio propen gas is coming inside fridge. Jay bharat.

Use propen tank for heating instead of disel in van. Put rubber sheet at the base or around cabinet of propen tank for absorbing all jerking. It won't leak. Give sit belt to propen tank. I don't favor disel. Recently in India gaming center in Gujarat got larger accident due to disel storage. It's not safe. Jay bharat.

Another option is use metel tank,either iron or aluminum or any other metal. Plastic is very fragile to fire .

Sorry Patrick but No suspension upgrade designed for towing or hauling can increase your truck's maximum vehicle manufacturer assigned capacity ratings, This is pure myth and in many cases the increased weight of the components does the opposite it decreases your payload.

36k? It should be way lighter, come with toilet, and ac unit at least for that price. It's a nice deaign but not for my taste.
