Thankyou for the "boat" show-and-tell... I'm contemplating a river / lake boat... I've been eye-balling a "used" 1994 Smokercraft 162 Pro Mag. Dual console, dual livewell, dual fish finders, and plenty of movebale swivel seats. Relatively higher sides to help during windy days.

Enjoy your videos, Clinton is also my home lake and underrated. I have the exact same boat, motor and trailer with the addition of a Yami 8T kicker. Agree 100% about all and difficulty getting fish out of large front live-well. Also use stern live-well as storage. Why did you switch from MotorGuide X15 to Minnkota Terova? Compatibility with Garmin electronics? Agree about ladder as safety measure. Would be extremely difficult to get back in if went overboard in cold weather and heavy cloths. Thanks for educational material.

So my apologies up front cause I'm geeking out over this video. So many questions. We have a Alumacraft Tournament 175 which didn't come with the rod locker on the sides. What would you guess the height and width of those? I'm going to build those myself. Is that a Ram mount you're using for your Terrova storage brace? Did you have to do anything special to plug that back live well? How does the heading sensor work with the Terrova? I've got a bunch of upgrades to do next month. Livescope, 93sv UHD, network port expander, and heading sensor. I really enjoyed these types of video showing your setup. Thanks for taking the time to create this kind of content. Again sorry for all the questions.
@KansasAnglingExperience3 жыл бұрын
1) Probably 8' wide by 16" tall 2) I think I mentioned towards the end that I use a RAM mount stabilizer for the Terrova 3) The valve system is broken and it's closed shut. I just put a plug in the drain to prevent any other moisture from getting in 4) All Terrovas, Ulterras, and Ultrexs come with a heading sensor. It's basically a compass used for the jog feature.

Great Video as usual. Not sure of your technique for launching your boat by yourself but you should check out the drotto boat latch system to add to your trailer/boat. Has made it way easier to launch a boat by myself. Keep the great content coming.

Hi I have bought a 2011 alumacraft 165cs and love it. My question is how do you drain your live well? Mine has a plug and it seems mayb I have to be on plane as it stays in the water. I have a recirculating pump but know discharge pump. Any advise you can give would be appreciated thanks

Lots of drum are always a good sign of a healthy fishery but on the nice, calm days here, it’s absolutely absurd. A lot of power plant lakes are very weather driven, often fishing much better on the bad weather days. Fuckin drum though man...
