Thank you very much, I like the design and and simple to make. I know I can make it from steal because aluminum is not that common where I am, but paint is always around. I looked these up online and saw $450 for a pair. That's ridiculous, with such a easy design and a few tools. Thank you again

A lot of drilling and screwing (okay, threading) but dang nice looking.... But I think on my ProCraft, after some thinking and looking, I'm gonna do a metal rod contraption that will hook under my cleats that will hold the rod holders on a similar adjustable angle, and removable from the cleats, where they could be stowed away.... What I liked about this one just now, was the aluminum stock. That's even better than the steel I was going to use. But words are nice, I just need to to start fabrication of it and get it done. I got this idea from one of your subscribers on the FB channel.... and I'll give him credit when I do this.

Very nice. Cool build. 😎. Thank you for sharing this with us. Hmmm.🤔. (thinking). If a guy made one of them with just the upright part (not the horizontal rod holder part), your buddy could put an action camera on it (GoPro type) and it would be adjustable. He could put it on the front (facing back) and film a whole day of fishing and not have to hold the camera. Just a thought. Have a great day on the water.

@brents4729 Жыл бұрын
The idea is good but will never work. Even with nuts, and tightened with a wrench it will still move. Thats why the original manufacture of these exact rod racks (MulTbar Rod racks) Uses a set screw in conjuction with stainless steel nuts to lock everything in place.

I had some Rigid cordless tools purchased about 16 years ago from the Homeless Despot and my first battery charger caught fire and burned up. At least it wasn't in a place where it could cause a disaster. The store gave me a new Rigid cordless tools set, but that was wierd and the only time I have ever seen a battery charger blowing up like that with Sparks shooting out. It is rare but things can be defective and be hazardous.

Hey man, I got another simple DIY idea for you. I just started using an Alabama rig for bass fishing and needed a way to fit it in the Plano 3600 style box. I ended up just taking the plastic ring off of a Coke bottle and flipping it inside out. Then I cut all of those little teeth off of it and slid it up onto my A-rig to keep all of the wires together. Then I cut a small v in the top of the center divider on the Plano box for the neck of the A-rig to sit on. Then when I want to use it I just take it out of the box and slide the ring back off. The wires automatically spring right back the way I have them bent.

How about a good DIY Rod Holder system for a Pontoon boat? Few options out there other than Monster that are really good for Pontoon rails. Personally I only get to fish reservoirs, so I pretty much have to fish out the side. Problem I have run into is, the seat placement, and the bimini top can get in the way. Just seeing if you might have a solution. Thanks!!
