Hey ,Todd, I have yet to find a $99 ukulele that sounds better. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Good luck and thanks for watching. Wes

beautiful tone, thanks for sharing. When I was young I played guitar informally, but for hours most days. someone made off with my guitar when I was 26... I was dead broke and busy, so it didn't get replaced. Now I'm old I'd love to have one again, but thought maybe a uke might be a better place to start. When I learned Alvarez makes a 6 string baritone and that the tuning is the same as a guitar, I was sold - in theory. But music is emotion, not logic, and until I heard this I wasn't sure... this one sounds beautiful. Thanks for posting this, it was really helpful.

You’re most welcome and I’m glad it helped. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a baritone ukulele. Many years ago, before my accident, I played an Alvarez 12 string and absolutely loved the sound so I decided to give this one a try and I’ve never looked back. Thanks for both watching and your comment. Wes

Thanks Mr. Kennedy, Brazil, wow! Thanks for taking the time respond and the nice comment, I appreciate it. It looks like we’re in the same time zone. Right now it’s 11:31 AM here in Illinois. From your picture it looks like you’ve got a canoe. 👍🏻 I’m a kayak man myself. At only 45 lbs and my age it’s a lot easier to load in my pickup. lol Take care and thanks again, Wes

Lovely song and great playing! I was looking for a review of the Alvarez AU70WB bari uke that has a solid spruce top, but now I'll have to look at the RU22 because it sounds really nice.

Thanks for both watching and the kind words. I’ve been really happy with this ukulele and I’m betting the spruce top sounds and plays just as sweet! Thanks again, Wes

Hi Wes, sounds like a decent Baritone. I was looking at a Baton Rouge, or possibly a flight Baritone. But I'll wait first for the baby Baritone strings to see how I find them. Anyway, for the review 👍

Hey Graham, I don’t think they’ll ever replace the baritone but I really enjoy them. Let me know which baritone you end up with I’m sure either will be great! Thanks for the comment, Wes

Sounds really good. Does this instrument have a truss rod?
@wschield6082 жыл бұрын
Hey Rick, No, there’s no truss rod in this one. It’s funny but when I bought this ukulele I didn’t even know what a truss rod was used for. So far none of my ukuleles have had one but I haven’t had an issue with any of them. If I can answer any other questions just let me know. Wes
