A QUAD HOOK STINGER WITH BAIT?! THIS GUY IS NUTS!! But seriously, innovation right before our eyes. I'd say roud 80% of the equipment Jack is using has evolved so much and so far since this filming. That sidecast reel is basically a surf spinning reel on steroids, but handicapped by being designed in a way that looks to my eyes like a giga-sized fly reel.

Bro that’s exactly how I was shown how to fish as a kid and not much has changed with fishing with alvey reels. So much power and you can cast over 100yards or 90m with ease. But what I was going to say is that Jack is the inventor of this reel and honestly it’s changed how we fish in Australia since.
