All Middle Eastern people love to bargain. I got customers from Iran, Dubai, Egypt, Morocco etc. We make a deal, but when the time comes for payment then they say i want more discount or i pay 60 days later. They call me and say this order is urgent. We produce their order, but this time they send the truck 5 months later to pick their goods up ☺️☺️☺️

But hey, I live in the Middle East not in the West. Also that is why when foreigners come to our countries, they think we are ripping them off. No we are not, we would give the same initial price to a local. The only difference is a local will negotiate and buy the goods for 10 times lower while a foreigner doesn't know how to negotiate prices.

I'm a muslim and I personally don't approve of the "4 wives" rule in islam. I honestly don't see the point of it. My father once married another woman behind my mother's back and she was very miserable and constantly crying 24/7, it was pitiful and heartbreaking. It's very cruel what that does to a woman and I've seen it first hand with my mother, now thankfully my father divorced his second wife, but like I said, being allowed to marry 4 wives in islam is the only thing I fail to see the wisdom of.

Nobody is applying the rules of quran in the "islamic countries"... the rule in quran is strictly related to orphans, by the time, tribal wars were common with many orphans left and their mothers can't provide for them... so if someone has to, he can marry but the rule is ONE wife, monogamy, even in quran. We are just human, and it is not our place to see or not to see a wisdom or approve or not approve Allah's, Subahanahi Wa Taala, rules. The rule of 4 wives is not a must (!) but allowed. Even if we want to see the wisdom, we just simply can't sometimes, due to our nafs. And nafs as it the best playground for shaitan. If it is stated in Quran, it has a wisdom. For example: adultery - one of the biggest and common sins that male commit. So by allowing 4 wives, Allah (Subhanahi Wa Taala) protects men from it. But, having 4 wives is not as simple as many ppl think, it comes with consequences. Men have to be able to deal justly (with them), which i find to be hard at this period of time. And as there is a reward for marrying 4 women, there is also a punishment for not doing it right. Allah (Subhanahi Wa Taala) is fair, righteous. And by your story, as we can see, it was not a good call for your father. He made his first wife (by his choice) unhappy and miserable. And answering a "ssookawai" statement about the rule of Quran; all the rules of Quran are applied to all of us, not only to some category of ppl. Allah knows best!
