I'd say that was the perfect amount of two princeton music. When it gets past those first two iterations of that melody it's too much for me to handle, but when it doesn't even get to the second one I feel teased. edit: I literally paused and commented this in the time between you asking and you playing more. Now I'm a bit too amped up for the video after the second blast.

Came for the Madison Cunningham vibrato vibe. Stayed for the stereo doom-age. That was epic and face-meltingly good

I have to leave a second comment just to say that you gave the best demonstration of this pedal that one possibly could have. Your playing really complimented the sounds you got from it. Super impressed with this pedal. Loved the baritone section and the droney/doomy stuff you played. The stereo output is really intriguing.

I wish this pedal came out a few weeks ago before I just picked up a vibrato pedal. I think its so unique and vibrato doesn’t get much love so this is nice to see.
@mark46c2 жыл бұрын
FYI: The stereo output is not the 'clean' signal. Listening to your demo, you can tell it is a revolving vibrato, not chorus. John from JHS confirmed this: "...stereo output is the cosine of the mono input. So technically it is 270 degrees phase offset from the other input which creates the revolving vibrato sound.(since it is NOT inverting the signal it will not cause cancelation problems when running into dual amps)."
@60CycleHumcast2 жыл бұрын
Yep! I got that part wrong.
@noahpauley2 жыл бұрын
If I'm remembering correctly, in the JHS video Josh said that stereo with a vibrato basically has the modulation panning between the amps instead of one being clean and the other being modulated.
@60CycleHumcast2 жыл бұрын
interesting, It was hard to tell in person but in post i notice more of a swirling sort of thing so thats probably correct.
@mark46c2 жыл бұрын
@@60CycleHumcast The swirling sort of thing in stereo is the intended revolving vibrato. See post above.

Was going to get the JHS Emperor but saw the JHS video for this pedal by accident and decided to go for this one. The EQ on this thing by itself seems to add a nice flavor if you want to use it as a solo boost for weird sci-fi parts.

Here. The title has me wondering if I should experiment with my moog murf-105 and expression pedal. I used to control the mix with the exp pedal and set the animator to swirl like a vibe. There’s a tap pedal for changing rate too…I may have to re-visit that trick!

I already own the Emperor and feel like the vibrato setting lops off too much high and low end no matter where you set the tilt (though it's still a fantastic pedal!). I've gravitated more toward the VB-2w because of that. Is the circuit for the Artificial Blonde identical to the Emperor or can it compare more to the VB-2? Thank you!

Still watching... like 10 minutes or so left. Have a question... (you still may yet do it)... but if not.... If you have it hooked up in stereo mode where it's sounding like a chorus and not a Vibrato. If you turn the Volume knob all the way down will it just turn all the down or will it turn back into a Vibrato? Like the note will pitch shift in one amp and then travel to the other side or something? So you have a vibrato in stereo and not a chorus? No chorus sound. Just Vibrato. ?

Ryan, any idea if this is doing something other than wet/dry with the outputs (like CE-2W and Julianna) when in 'stereo mode'? As in - are both outputs getting a modulated signal? Sounds great.

turns out it modulates on both outputs, it hard to tell with both amps in the room so i was mistaken.
@davidwlucas2 жыл бұрын
@@60CycleHumcast I thought I was hearing some movement between amps. Do you know if its analog or digital? Seems like being based on the Emperor it would be analog - but the stereo thing and price point makes me think digital.

Vibrato has been a go to effect for me for decades.I can actually remember having it often referred to as " useless" by many .Before the market expanded into the paralyzing quanity of options it's become , there were a limited number of ways of putting twists on your sound. It's pretty cool, and I have long considered the idea of switching between settings, but my EQD Aqueduct remains my longest standing pedal.They just got it right there, along with the Grand Orbiter(Phaser). Do I really need multiple Vibrato, to compete with the stupid number of Fuzzes I normally juggle? Probably not, but I do run two amps; the thing I found with stereo effects( like the Source Audio Tremelo)is that the broad pan and heightened stereo can actually be overwhelming and a bit produced for my tastes/ purposes.With my last true stereo set up, my thought was that it was just TOO pretty....
