@@yumine_ it's not the depth of that actual line, it's more the situation in the film. At the beginning chihiro is afraid and very unsure of many things. when kamachi gives her these train tickets, she has already been in the bathhouse for a while and has gained more self-confidence, which means that she accepts the coming train journey easily and without fear, without anything disturbing her. it is the depth of this one brief moment that made this line so intense for me. ;)

I remember hearing this song play in dream after my Grandpa died. It happened when I was riding on a train with him to an unknown destination. Me, mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa are sitting down on our seats patiently waiting for our destination. When we finally arrived, me, and my parents got off, but not my grandparents. I turned around expecting them to step off the train. Only for my grandpa to come off and put his hand on my head. "Remember, even in a dark world like this, there will always be light out here to help keep you company and guide you. I may not be here now, but know that deep inside, I will always be with you." To me, those words felt like his final goodbye from the afterlife, I was tearstruck. He and grandma then got back on the train before the engine began to roar again. I tried to ran after, but my dad held me back while my mom held back tears. We then saw the train began to fly up towards the bright blue sky where it was then eventually faded away. It then swapped to a thrid person view of me watching the train fly as the song plays in the background. Afterwards I awoke in a cold sweat, and immediatly began to burst into tears. Even though both my grandparents only passed away roughly five years ago. I wished I had spent more time with them, and I missed them dearly. If your somehow reading this in the afterlife grandpa and grandma, I hoped you lived your life to the fullest and got to acheive your goals in the process too and I hope to see you again one day. To everyone else who's loved one is still alive, please give them a hug, you never really know when the time will come where you'll never be able to again.

Earth will lose an Angel the day Hayao Miyazaki dies. This is my childhood. I am just so sad that there will only be a limited number of movies made by him. Also everyone else who worked on these movies. The music, the art, the storyline, the message, the dialogue, Everything. The feeling every time I rewatch a Hayao Miyazaki movie or listen to the music is a feeling no one will ever be able to explain. The feeling of adventure, of childhood, of the happiest moments of your life. The people who made these movies are so much more then artists, they touch you in ways very few people can. This is the closest thing I’ve ever experienced to magic. Truly some of the best movies of all time. I will never forget the art and the music. One day if I am old and grey and someone plays me this song I will be filled with emotions from my childhood completely unforgettable. Thank you Hayao Miyazaki and the rest of the team who put together his movies. ❤️💜

I had a girlfriend when I was high school student. My girlfriend was deef, so I learned hand sign to communicate with her. My hand signs are not good enough but she could read, so it was no problem. When yubaba stole chihiro name chihiro realised that she was a nobody she didn't have an identity and was irrelevant that's why most of the characters in the story called her it instead of Sen in order to show everyone that she was a somebody she became stronger. When chihiros parents turned into pig it showed chihiro that they are useless to her now and cannot help her forever she learnt to rely on herself Haku was a friend to her although she may not remember who he is exactly he will always be in her heart.T the end of the story when haku tells her to go and not look back hes telling chihiro that the past doesn't matter anymore as you cannot change it. this song is so beautiful. the emotion i feel with this song is so deep. i watched ghibli films throughout my whole childhood and spirited away was always my favourite. me, my mum and my sister used to cuddle up and watch it. my sister is leaving for uni in 9 months. the pain i feel is indescribable. my childhood is going to be gone when she leaves. the song gives me great nostalgia of my life as a child. happiness and sadness at the the same time. i found a music box with this song and an engraving of chihiro. im going to buy it for my mums 52nd birthday which is just 4 months before my sister leaves. i hope she can feel the love and kindness she reflected onto all of her children. im so appreciative of her and i hope my childhood memories stay with me through the rest of my life because she gave me the best childhood. i am currently 15 and struggling to let go of my child self as move on to becoming more mature and independent. this song will always take me back to better times.

And I LOVE the class sm, not bc of the interesting stories, but the teacher herself, Mrs Lee. She’s a SUPER kind and sweet teacher and I have never heard her YELL at anyone before, not even ONCE. She’s so full of life and loved everyone in the class equally. She loved me the most and I can tell that I was her favourite student. Ok, so everytime Mrs Lee tells a story, she would always use this song as the background. And this song was stuck in my head forever. I loved it.
