That's actually one of the MOST COMMON types of malware virus used in website links. Usually they appear as popups (or new tabs) in internet browsers claiming that a computer "may be at risk from an infected webpage" and claim that a certain number, email, or website should be contacted in order to "fix the problem". They are meant to mimic warning popups that some actual anti-viruses will activate whenever a risk is detected. However, the real antivirus popups typically come from the applications themselves, NOT from browsers. Another difference is the fact that most antivirus software popups will not ask you to contact anyone.

@@viddork The aspect I'm surprised about is that this turns the entire song from "A nice, albeit exaggeration-filled warning" to a situation of a grave omen which now lists every torment you would now endure. At the beginning of the song, you would have an email with a bizarre title, so you would click on it. Only to realize that, by opening it, you have doomed everything on your counter, and even others. The kindest thing about the list now is that you know exactly (in theory) what this is going to do, or, maybe even worse, convince someone to destroy their counter when it really is "a normal email with a weird title" because the virus is a complete joke and doesn't even exist.

The kind of creepy thing is that not all of the ridiculous stuff he mentioned is actually beyond the scope of cyberattacks. In fact, almost all of the actually computer-related things could be done by a hacker with enough skill and a reason to do them, such as "for the hell of it". Depending on how integrated the control systems are, it even could make you TV record Gigli and mess up the pH balance in your pool. back in the 90's I had a floppy disk, labeled as some kind of game, and when you ran it, it produce a window that looked like a command promt window, full screen, not interactive in any way with a message that read "Your hard drive is formatting: 1%-100%" ticking 1%, then 2% then 3% and so on, it ran for like 20min, and once its done, nothing happens.
