THANK YOU I never knew what would look good on me so I opted for "whatever won't make me stand out in a bad way". I always thought my body was just "weird", and its so freeing to understand that my body is just a "type" that many beautiful women share, that I can look beautiful in what I wear, that my clothes shouldn't be apologizing for what I''m not, but expressing what I am. @@andyqv-goodvibes1900 and @ritaweygint4038 - I have the same "combination"/confusion - when I watch videos about FG I think I'm that. When I watch videos about a classic, I see the body shape fits and describes me better than FG, but very little else I find relatable between me and a DC style. I don't understand why kibbie had taken away gamine and left FG and SG because some people are more gamine than FG or SG. My mother and sister are Gamines and I wouldn't say either are SG or FG , they don't have the elongation or shoulder width to be FG but not curvy to be SG
@ZurditaDinamita Жыл бұрын
Same thoughts but with Naturals. I'm mostly sure I'm some type of natural, but I don't have enough curve for SN, not enough wideness for being FN either 😐 Usually I combine tips for both and then I pray lol

@@ZurditaDinamita Not every type looks the same as others in that same type. You can just be a basic natural just like how there is a basic classic. I like to mix styles from SG, FG, and DC myself. Because it also depends on your facial essence. I have a more DC face, so those bright and extravagant patterns she says look good on FG, look terrible on me. My face disappears. You really just need to experiment with color and line for your own body cuz everyone is a mix. Though guides like this are a good starting point. I always take them with a grain of salt. Because essence and personal coloring will also change things.
@andyqv-goodvibes1900 Жыл бұрын
@@angelroseglow i relate to your mixing!
@alcosta30296 ай бұрын
I think the only type he should have removed was the pure Classic, because I guess no one is 100% “average” on everything, a little bit of extra yin or extra yang will always be visible on a classic. But the Gamines are all mixes of yin and yang in different proportions, I can easily see that a gamine can be a mix in a way that some extra yin or extra yang is not noticeable enough to unbalance the overall look.

Before I knew about Kibbe types, I used to dress this way. After I came across Kibbe during the lockdown, I’ve been living in confusion until recently when everything came full circle (realisation that I am an FG). Aly, in this video, is describing in detail what I used to intuitively do in terms of dressing up (without objectively seeing why). She’s truly has an artist’s eye to be able to see the lines and curves in each body type, and accurately recommend styles that enhance their beauty.

Great video! Though I was hoping for a section on swimsuits… As a FG I struggle most with dresses & swimwear. I know there’s a swimwear video on this channel, but pretty much all the FG recommendations were one-pieces. It seems that due to our best lines, all our swimwear options are high waisted, high neck, have lots of cut-outs, and lots of one-pieces/ tankinis/ long-line bikini tops… I get why, but I like wearing regular bikinis and I want to avoid having crazy tan lines. Anyone know of any videos with bikini guidelines for FG, or does it not exist? 🥲🥴

@アシキン10 ай бұрын
Sneakers are nice as long as they don't cover the ankles. So, no high sneakers. Casual clothes just need to follow the same rules. If the top is wide, the bottom should be narrow. If the top is narrow, match with a wider bottom. Short top with longer bottom, or longer top with short bottom. No baggy clothes, everything should be properly fit to your size. Slightly larger is okay but not baggy for sure. Materials are on medium to heavy qualities, not flowy materials.

This explained a lot about what I feel of myself. I just sent for a Kibbe test with an analyst last week and I got FG. Though, I'm a Muslim and need to wear modest and covering clothes. So, it's hard to put it into pictures. Open ankle is probably hard to pull coz I need to cover my skin down to the feet. So, I wear stockings. But I guess, a short top with a pleated skirt would do. And a button down man's shirt with a narrow pants would do too. I can't emphasize my hip and chest, so they need to always be properly covered. Being an FG does feel tricky in this case. But let's see. The stylist will pull off the looks for me later and this vid is really helpful in getting to know myself! Thanks 😊.
