The thing I love most about this fanmade video is that it seamlessly filled in the missing gaps between the Yoda and Sidious fight and showed the full duel in it's uncut glory!

1:19 This beginning scene here is part of the cancelled Clone Wars Utapau arc, which is one out of 10 total arcs which Disney sadly cancelled when they decided to cancel the clone wars show after taking over star wars in 2013. You can still watch the full unfinished Utapau arc, alongside some of the other 9 unfinished arcs in their unfinished form on YT I think. These are the actual clone wars voice actors doing the voice over here since the voice overs were finished before the story arcs were cancelled. It's cool they brought the scene back for this fan-film.

It's crazy that most people don't know about the ''Padmé, help me'' line, even I just learned of it not long ago and I'm a pretty big nerd for everything SW. It's a heart wrenching detail, I wish more people knew. Alyce if you read this, play back just before the Vader mask is installed over his face, turn up your volume and listen just when it covers him up.

The Clone Wars series always gave me hope that Anakin could be redeemed... saved from the darkness. We saw more to his relationship with Obi-Wan... we added Ahsoka and Rex into the equation... I always hoped he could have been saved. So the emotional part for me in this fan video - I agree - it's more intense. Because we better understand Anakin's pain. It was an amazing piece of work, for sure!

4:12-4:23 That exchange along with most of the dialogue in this fan film comes from "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga", which had Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor reprise their roles as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi respectively. Without a doubt, this is my #1 favorite Star Wars fan film. The Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel on Mustafar from ROTS is my #1 favorite lightsaber duel in the entire franchise, so seeing it in TCW animation was a dream come true. I'm really glad you finally reacted to this, Alyska.

Btw, the reason for some bits being added to the fight is because there are no cutaways like there was in the movie. Remember the movie would be cutting between this fight and the Yoda vs Sidious fight. So to fill that dead time they added some extra fight scenes.

The Clone Wars series certainly added emotional depth to the Prequels and rounded out Anakin's journey quite well so when he falls we really feel it.

Anakin wasn't talking about Ahsoka failing. He was referring more to himself rather than Ahsoka. He feels like he failed as a master when it was the hypocrisy of the council. It's no wonder he was willing to turn on them after they screwed him and Ahsoka over in the clone wars.

I think the part I like best about this, is that when he arrives on Mustafar, Emperor Palpatine says nothing. Anakin looks up at him and bows his head in a mix of pain and shame. Darth Sidious says nothing, you can almost feel his anger and disappointment in Vader.

Have you ever watched Epic Rap Battles of History? They are super funny but I think you'd especially like the Luke Skywalker vs Harry Potter episode lol. Side note: We all hate how Padme went out, but there is a theory (might be a fan theory, I'm not sure) that what actually happened, was that while Anakin was getting put into the Vader suit, Palpatine siphoned off Padme's life force to channel it into Anakin to keep him alive for the procedure. It even makes sense... from what I know of one of the books, it was Palpatine assisting his then Master, Pelagius (sp?) in perverting the Force that caused Anakin to be born in the first place, to balance the perversion.

It was from an unfinished CW episode from just before Disney cancelled it. The rough animation though for that scene was already done (but unfinished obviously) so they just took the unfinished scene and finished it for this film. There's also plenty of other unfinished CW episodes you can find that weren't adapted. Some episodes were adapted in CW S7 when Disney brought the series back but many episodes weren't finished.

Whilst its amazing that someone did this, I dont find the fight is as good in animation. The movement of characters is not as good and you don't get the same emotion as real life actors
