I did this with Mercia 769, got glitterhoof as the prince bishop of mann, made him tutor my daughter making her horse and she had high enough learning to be the court tutor so everyone turned horse while the Aztecs invaded and I created my secret society of human sacrificing horses. This reminds me of Xena the warrior princess episode where the titular character had to perform C-section on a woman giving birth to a child whose daddy turned out to be a centaur, at the time the episode made me vaguely uncomfortable, but being young and innocent I soon forgot about it.
