You can find a dog meat restaurant but it doesn't mean everyone eats dog. You can find a Halal restaurant in any Germany city, but it doesn't mean every German is Muslim.
@lenn9394 ай бұрын
Well, the truth is that you can’t find even a single dog meat restaurant in Germany. The fact that there are numerous dog meat restaurants in any major city in China shows that plenty of Chinese people do eat dogs just as the fact that Halal restaurants exist in any major city in Germany shows that there are muslims who only eat Halal food in Germany. I don’t see what’s so hard to understand about this. From the perspective of someone from a country where nobody eats dogs and where literally zero dog meat restaurants exist it is quite strange that in China many people do eat dogs and that you can easily find numerous dog meat restaurants openly advertising themselves as such in any major Chinese city. Even if dog is only eaten by a minority of Chinese people the fact that there is this minority of dog eaters and that there is clearly a demand for dog meat is still extremely strange to anyone from a Western country where that sort of thing is completely unheard of and dog meat restaurants are simply non-existent.
@willarddu4 ай бұрын
@@lenn939 First of all, nobody needs your understanding and Chinese dont need your preaching. I just said the fact and dont want your understanding. So, put your pride back to your home. Secondly, it's so hard to teach your critical thinking. I won't do it for free but I kindly teach you one point: you need to know the subject of a sentence. Apparently the only fact supporting your false conclusion is that no native German eat in Halal restaurant. I know it's hard for you to understand but good luck to you and try your best.
@lenn9394 ай бұрын
@@willarddu Where did I say that no native Germans ever eat at Halal restaurants? Of course they also do sometimes. I don’t really understand the point you’re even trying to make with the Halal restaurants. Your only point seems to be that just because there are dog meat restaurants in China doesn’t mean that all Chinese people eat dog meat. Ok, granted. I don’t think anyone ever really claimed that literally all Chinese people eat dogs. But the fact that there are these restaurants also does mean that _some_ Chinese people do eat dog meat, even if it’s just a minority, correct? These restaurants wouldn’t exist if there was zero demand for dog meat just like Halal restaurants wouldn’t exist if there was zero demand for Halal food. My point is very simple (and has nothing to do with who eats Halal food or not): even if only a minority of Chinese people would ever eat dog meat, the fact that this dog eating minority exists and that there are dog meat restaurants in China which cater to their likes is still very strange from a Western viewpoint. Unlike some others in the comments here, you seem to at least be able to admit that these restaurants really do exist. Can you also understand why from the perspective of people from countries where dog meat restaurants do not exist at all it’s still strange even if it’s only a minority of Chinese people who have ever eaten there? Not everyone needs to partake in a cultural practice for that cultural practice to seem weird to people who come from a culture where that practice is completely non-existent. If we’re being very conservative and say that only 5% of Chinese people have ever eaten dog meat, that’s still 5% more than Germans who have ever eaten dog meat. Of course that’s gonna be strange to Germans for who eating dogs is not just rare but completely unheard of. There’s a big difference between something merely being uncommon and something literally being non-existent.
@willarddu4 ай бұрын
@@lenn939 learn some logic and critical thinking first. Thank you
@Luiri61Ай бұрын
@@lenn939 Muslims don't eat pork, Hindus don't eat beef, Sikhs don't eat mutton, Jewish people don't eat birds including chicken, and then there are Germans who don't eat dog meat. Good heavens, if all these people were in the same room, I can hardly imagine how it would end. It's important to acknowledge the diversity of human cultures. The aversion to eating dog meat is largely a Western idea and doesn't represent all of humanity. You don't have the right to judge other cultures. Without having lived and experienced a particular culture, you don't have the standing to criticize it. Finally, for the sake of world peace, I’ve thought of a solution to the above problem: simply make everyone Buddhist and only allow vegetarian food. However, I'm not sure if you could handle a lifetime of no alcohol, no lying, no marriage, and absolutely no contact with the opposite sex.
