Casey, well done man! I've been watching mini hobby content for a long time, other more amateur creators seem to just upload their raw 'data' - "Here's what I recorded with minimal editing. Follow along" - whereas I've noticed that you focus more on hobby 'insights'. I think you've really streamlined your video style. They're enjoyable to watch for so many reasons; The narrative of your projects always hook me. Your recording setup is very professional and captures everything in great detail (I also appreciate the lighting/background setups). You've really mastered the flow of combining talking-head insights with demonstration of the techniques. Overall I'm blown away with the quality of your videos, you've come a long way from your beginnings, and I think you've carved-out a unique style and format. Keep it up, I love to see it!

If you haven't already read the Orion Trilogy by Darius Hinks you should check this out for inspiration as the story being told is how a Nurgle Daemon corrupts the forest from within (no spoilers) but you'll have plenty of inspiration after reading those books especially when it comes to the corrupted woodland/gross swampy vibe. Just a suggestion. These models look awesome Casey great job, keep it up 🔥🔥

Finally I see the AK moss in action. I looked in the past and never found anything, so I was not sure if it's just a green wash or something different (which it is judging from the video)
@eBayMiniatureRescues3 жыл бұрын
The enamel is a wash, I just used that as the “glue” to get the moss on the model. But the ak moss is actually fluffy green stuff in a jar. Really fine and powdery. I fixed it all in place with matte varnish. I’m super impressed though, the stuff looks pretty legit!

10:25 I don't think that a coat of primer will hold the sand down. Primer is just a little bit sturdier paint, not glue. Thinned down PVA glue (with maybe something that help break the surface tension like IPA or a couple of drops of dishwash) would do the trick.

I have to say I was incredibly disappointed when I heard you say that we won't get to see the finished result until the next video, and I think it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth about the whole project. You do a ton of amazing work and your videos are great, and I understand the decision to spready the project out into multiple videos, but perhaps my expectations would've been a little less destroyed had you mention it'd be a two-parter or maybe a series up front. I was really looking forward to seeing the finished result as I watched the whole video, and hearing those words was upsetting rather than suspense building.
