Here's where I could imagine Mikan in 5 years: The clothing brand has done really well domestically and internationally, so she opens a super cute, super aesthetic little shoppe on a cozy backstreet in Toyko. She has an apartment right above the shoppe, so the cats can wander down into the store and say hi to the customers. A picture of Maple sitting on the windowsill, watching the neighborhood, goes viral and makes the shoppe super popular. One of her friends from the heart rod shop opens a cafe right next door.

I took a hip hop class for a try, never again I was so lost. Respect for all hip hop dancers, thats literally like going to the gym. After, the class ended my mom who was waiting in the waiting room said she saw me on the TV screen and was laughing saying I danced like a monkey 🐒 💀 and oh my God alot of other mothers were watching too. honestly i don’t think it’s good to have an idolized view of japan before you go. for me atleast even though i didn’t stay for awhile i really wish i didn’t come with such high expectations. id say before you go just remember japan is not an anime or something from a show or manga that you like. it’s a real country with real problems especially when you are someone who looks very different from the japanese beauty standard. not saying mikan has it easy in japan i don’t know her reality and i can’t speak for her but when you’re someone who for example is not thin, very tall, or a black or brown poc with darker skin your reality will be very different from someone who’s closer to the Japanese ideal appearance. of course i’d say still go japan is a really beautiful place with cool people but don’t set yourself up by thinking you won’t run into any problems. just like the us isn’t the same as your favorite hollywood movie or show the same thing goes for japan :)

I really think fast fashion has ruined most people’s perception of how much things should cost. We’ve become so used to mass production and sweatshop exploitation that people get like offended when small businesses have high prices or long wait times for new clothing. If you want to get into apartment queue ‘s in Sweden there are some ways 😄 I’ve seen this one; dibz (or dibs?) where you pay a small amount, like 20kr as a standard subscription and they will refresh you in different queues all around Sweden ☺️ some are free but then you have to keep track of it yourself so I think dibz might be a good alternative for you😊 I’d get into it soon in tho so you might have a few years to gather up points in the queue.
