has your front squat always been very close to your back squat?

yeah , im better at front squat then back squat

The front squat is more important than the back squat if the lifter does Olympic Lifting. You can squat more with the back squat but it taxes your body and hinders recovery.

@@elli2655 i agree; the front squat has direct carryover to the clean and it also develops extension in the upper back which is crucial in weightlifting. it’s definitely better to have a strong front squat than a strong backsquat

2-3 accessories at end of each training and mostly , back extension, reverse lunge, leg extension, leg curls, pendlay row, pull ups, dips, push ups, press, 1 arm press, 1 arm row, lateral raise, etc

what i notice is that even at the heavier weights, you never push to a point where you lose control. Is this intentional? Do you go by feel here or do you plan to do a certain percentage of your max lift?

im recovering fast now, I'm not using percentages, for example first week I did 180 front squat single , and in 3rd week 180kg 3x3 easily

@@gsincraian Oooh, didn’t expect to be put on the spot. Ilya in Doha, 2005. Any of the 77kg from between Ashgabat in 2014 to Pattaya 2019. Any heavier category (except supers) from the same years would be great too eg Illyin, Martirosyan, Tao etc. Actually, I have one exception for supers: the battle between Rezazadeh and Chigishev in Doha. If I may suggest it: make them for Christmas time. They’re an awesome watch when you just need to get away for an hour or two from the famaily😅
