It's an amazing musical, love the French accents and stage which makes you feel like you're in Paris. This includes all the same quirky moments that's in the film, the acting is fantastic!

Though I am really connected to the original production, I feel like this one really brings you into the world of Amelie. It has the same charm the movie had and it makes me so sad that I won't be able to see it. I hope they revive Amelie in the US with the same orchestrations, design, and charm as the UK one.

Agreed, I do like Pippa Soo as a performer, but I really don't think she was well suited to the role of Amelie, whereas Audrey Brisson was absolutely perfect IMO, the French accents work so much better than American ones, and she encapsulates the character quirky, introverted young Parisian woman so, so well, plus the re-orchestrated soundtrack is far more in keeping with the tone of the film.

I wish I could see it a hundred more times but alas, I cannot. Amelie is my favourite musical and has been since the Broadway production, so getting to see it live in London was... beyond comprehension. I am legitimately not exaggerating when I say that I started crying 30 seconds into the show (that accordion solo? Ooh, my lord) and didn't stop until we got to the bows. It was just a truly unforgettable experience and I desperately wish for a recording of any sort.

Saw this in Bradford a month ago. It's fantastic. By the end, I was fully in the world of Amelie and completely enchanted by this utterly charming piece of theatre. The cast are incredibly talented to play the music for the show on stage. Never seen that before, but is creates an amazing effect. I may live to regret this review as I haven't booked to go again yet. It's like giving your favourite airbnb a glowing review, then finding you can't get it for the next 6 months. It's rubbish! Terrible! No, it's not. It's the best musical I've seen in years. Go if you can, but leave a seat for me!

There are two actors playing Nino in this production. The actor in this video is Danny Mac, and the one on the cast recording(who I kinda like more, personally) is Chris Jared.

Yes!!! I love the movie so my partner got us tickets to see this when it was touring in Edinburgh. I haven't been able to forget it, even almost 2 years later... I've seen clips of the Broadway version and can't stand it, but this production is so full of magic. Of course it's different from the film, because it's a different medium, but I really felt like it captures the same sense of whimsy. Please see it if you can! (and since I can't, let me know what you think haha)

Steve Price It’s good to see that this musical was given a second chance. I did approach with cautiousness at first but now I do feel a lot more optimistic about it. Can’t wait to see it!

It looks a whole lot different to the US version, UK one is far more intimate and multidisciplined with the musicians and singers. I just watched this version in Bristol and it was excellent!

This is soo soo much better. Much more emersive and even had my husband chuckling away and enjoying it and honestly he's not a musical fan at all unless we have friends in it, if you catch my drift. I watched many musicals growing up this is the first one I can say I enjoyed start to finish and didn't want to miss a second of. Then again I absolutely adore the story and the film.

This is the UK cast. Philippa did the Los Angeles and New York(Broadway) productions.

Audrey Brisson is arguably far better in the role of Amélie, as good as Pippa is, she makes the role far too "American", whereas Audrey manages to capture the character of the original film far better, and the French accent works so much better, not least because the pronunciations of various French words is correct (I absolutely hate how Pippa pronounces "sacre-coeur")

Looks better than the american version that was a disaster to my opinion. But still i think Amelie should remain a movie and not a musical. Jean Pierre Jennet said in an interview that he didnt like the musical
