कुपोषण का एक कारण शिक्षा की कभी है . संतुलित भोजन कया है और इस पर खर्च को प्राथमिकता क्यों दिया जाय , यह आम लोगों को मालूम ही नहीं है . माता पिता बच्चे को जंक भोजन देने पर ज्यादा खर्च करते हैं . ऐसा आम तौर पर देखा जाता है कि जिस घर में स्मार्ट फोन मोटरसाइकिल और टेलिविजन है उस घर के बच्चे ही नहीं बड़े भी कुपोषित हैं .
